Question: How does
Daniel Dubois' (UNRANKED) win over
Trevor Bryan (UNRANKED) to claim a 'version' of the World Heavyweight Championship affect the rankings?

My Vote:
No change.
I don't think anyone deserves to be dumped out just yet due to Dubois' win over Bryan. Anyone one of these 15 HWs would have beaten Bryan.
We know Wallin's on his last leg, he needs a real fight next.
I would have considered Chisora out, but his next fight is Pulev, which is a good fight still on paper.
Sanchez and Helenius don't deserve out, they do really need a fight scheduled soon, but both their wins was much better than a win over Bryan.
If anyone is making way for Dubois, it's gonna be Wallin/Pulev/Chisora.
However, I think the winner of Hunter-Fury deserves a spot in that top 15 before Dubois.
Exciting times hopefully in the next few months.

Dub to 1, Bryan to 2 in the second hundred of the overall HW rating.

Am in agreement with those voting no change.
Dubois did what he had to, but Bryan was abhorrent.
The Hughie-Hunter victor I'd expect will enter the top 15, particularly if Chisora looks his age against Pulev (another Parker II-esque performance and he's gone).
If Wallin's next opponent isn't a significant improvement over his last two I'll be voting him out also.

I agree with Ruthie - any one of our top 15 would have dealt with Bryan.
He was- as expected - totally rubbish.
Whilst I think there could be a place on the top 15 for him, given how competitive he was against Joyce factored with his age, he needs a better win than this one.

Dubois has plenty of time to enter these rankings.
Tbh. Bryan was on par with the likes of Lartey and that Jap dude Fujomoto or whatever he was called.
In an honest HW P4P Bryan wasnโt top 30.. maybe not even top 50.

DDD in, chisora out. DDDs opposition hasnt been great, but he is coming off 3 impressive wins, vs chisora off 3 losses.
while i think chisoras preformance vs parker the first time was good, i also thought DDDs preformance vs joyce was pretty good. the eye injury is a tricky one, its his fault for getting hit in the eye, but its also a bit unlucky, a bit like cuts and stuff. Without the eye injury it was anyones fight. he was 22 in against absolute primmmmmme version of one of the most horrible guys to have to fight in the history of boxing.
Edit... wait, just re looked at bryans resume, i thought he had beaten jerry forrest in a sketchy decision, but that was franklin. and then i saw gildry and remembered that fight. OK, im fine with DDD staying out. but he is knocking on the door, and would beat half of this list.

Dubois in at 15.
Chisora drops out.
For the same reason as gregregegg, except the fight went as I expected against Joyce, and it would have taken some suspicious score cards for Dubois to win that one.
Whilst Bryan wasn't a world beater, his past performances pegged him as better than what he showed against Dubois

Its not hard to look good against Stiverne or Guidry.. or a blown up BJ.
I honestly donโt think heโd have beaten Charr.

Yes, Bryan has no place holding a belt of any significance around his podgy waist.
And added to that, he was really poor last night. I don't know, it couldn't be age or inactivity, but he was better against Stiverne - which I realise isn't saying much.

I know right?
He probably has the power to do damage eventually if he tried.
But he came out sluggish, and unwilling to engage.

no change, dont like awarding ddd for crushing patsies, which is all he's done since the joyce loss. chizz is flirting very closely with exit though
looking at the schedule, we got hughie-hunter july 2 and chiz-pulev july 9 as meaningful fights. since they are only a week apart, what i might do is hold off kicking anyone out or voting anyone in until boths fights are done, then we can change the rankings up with every result considered
its possible from that we get an open spot, and then can vote dubs in or whoever else has a case

Hughie's ticket to the top 15.

I vote for Mr. TBA. He's going to be very busy as the other heavies are not. A while back I suggested the heavyweight division is barely alive. It is, we have very few fights scheduled between the top 15.

If anything will come of it, I don't know but it sounds like a good fight to me.

Feels like we are about to have a real reboot over the next couple of years.
By the start of 2025 I'd say it's fairly likely most of fury, usyk, AJ, wilder, Whyte, Ortiz, Chisora, Ruiz, Joyce, pulev and helenious will be retired.
Hughie and Parker look set to be interim guys then Anderson, DDD, and Huni will look to take over.
