https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/5757 Former Tyson and Vitali opponent (among others) Julius Francis, at 57, the former British and Commonwealth Heavyweight champ is now working as a security guard at Boxpark. Very satisfying video.

Will say , after working doors for approx 10 -12 years some of my favorite moments were very similar too that , when you finally had enough and chinned the loudmouth ,, did'nt happen often but when it did i still look back with fond memories

Was a great punch.
Laid him out cold.
Was he drunk or something.
Don’t get why people act like that.

People have always been like that BUT I think its more prelevant nowadays ,, jumping up and down screaming its just part of being the bully they tell there mates how bad they are , act bad and loud ,, then unfortunatly for them sometimes they come across someone who's not impressed ,, will say that skinny security with glasses , should'nt really be doing that job , without someone like Julian to watch his back he could get hurt .
After doing it for years there were twos sorts of security i would'nt work with one was his sort can be intimidated and the other was the bully sort who wanted to throw fists at everyone , both can get you hurt

Tiny little security guard gently puts a hand on the guy, 2 guys over in his face looking like they want a fight. Big dawg sparks him, noone in his face...
While i dont really like to endorse people getting knocked out on the street, they guy had been yelling specificaly at that security guard and it looks like he was been held back to not get to him. then near the end he lunged at him, befor lunging at someone else.... then he came at the big unit who was out on his own at that point... then he took a nap.

Whilst I'm not in favour of security people dishing out beatings, that guy was definitely asking for it.

lol that guy ............gets all uppity with the 'dont f@cking touch him' stuff when the little bodyguard touches his mate a bit, but then doesnt mumble a word as big julius walks by after sending his pal into another demension. guess he knows who to pick his battles with

Will Julius Francis be I trouble for this? Would it be considered excessive force? I didn’t think security were allowed to do that kind of thing these days

i dont know the specifics of the law, but........the guy was very agitated, wouldnt calm down despite repeated attempts, had started to get violent, and walked right up to julius aggressively and raised a hand, at which point the shot came in. i dont think julius was much out of line there
with julius being much bigger than the guy and having the boxing background he does, maybe someone could go after him for excessive force, but i dunno

See the white guy giving it large to the small Asian security guy to defend his mate… then when Big Francis lands a bomb on him… he takes one look at Julius and clearly thinks “fornicate that mate”.

The cocky guy was toxic and needed a dose of reality. But the punch could have killed him as he went down pretty hard - it wouldn’t have been a surprise had it done so.
It’s a difficult one. Julius took care of business and is much loved in the boxing fraternity. But looking at it objectively did he need to punch him in the face? Could he have restrained the guy?
Sadly, with society the way it is the lads causing trouble could have pulled a knife or a gun, and then we’d be looking at an entirely different situation.
Julius and many others will argue his actions were necessary before things really escalated. But Hopefully lessons learned across the board,

Hope Francis don't get into bother from the punch, as soon as the guy knows who clocked him there will be pound signs flashing in his head.
Does Francis work or own the security company?

Its a hard one. on the one hand, yea he could of mabey restrained him. but he was on his own isolated, backing away with two guys aproaching, you grab one who knows if the other is going to belt you in the back of the head, or stab you or anything.... So throwing a punch isnt crazy out of line. If the punch had just hurt him not absolutly sparkeddddd him it would of looked way more reasonable, but thats just a bit of bad luck really.
Its also a bit an interesting not when you have been a pro heavyweight boxer.... If its me, i cant trust my chin at all, so i cant get hit. Big francis probably could of afforded to let the little pipsqueak swing befor unloading. or mabey he could of livered him (somthing you rarerly see on the streets but i would love to see due to the extra humiliation.).
But ultimently this shouldent be mistaken for a meathead bouncer looking for a fight. this is a dumb fuk looking to fight a big lad bouncer. Mabey big julius should get a talking too, but i hope he dosent lose his job (although he probably will).

Firstly, the dude was agitating towards Francis from the outset of the clip and wishing him death. Then his bald mate picks on the smallest security team member over the touching of his friend, although he doesn’t seemed to be bothered about the other security guards touching him. Lastly the original agitator has already attacked another security team member and then aggressively approaches Francis with a raised hand. I think Julius has a right to claim self-defence. Hope he doesn’t lose his licence over this silly little girl in the blue durag…
