I bloody well hope so. This will be a cracker. Definition of a crossroads fight.

Happy, still rather it was Polo - that would be the "right" thing to do.

I called for this match though if it wasn't too be Polo. Winner can go one and fight the Elite, loser (if it is Harrison) will come back again.

Think Harrison will be too strong, Brodie is not Mr hard to hit.

I don't like the way Trickett sounds, he is usually ultra confident about his charge.

Didn't realise Mikie was having a divorce, the image of his wife in tears after the Jorrin fight was one I don't think I will forget.

Didn't she catch him round a "neighbours" house? I think he actualy had to have police protection from his ex at one point - hell hath no fury etc..

Brodie looked like he could be starting to slide against Chi. I'd venture that's why Team Harrison have gone for this. But yes, Polo would be the one that made sense. But the lad will get more cash for JMM anyway

I don't think Harrison will be going anywhere near the likes of JMM now, the Polo fight ruined that. He is a defeat waiting to happen.

I predict that the next couple of years of Scott Harrison's career will make Calzaghe's resume look like Joe has thrashed a glittering array of boxing legends.

He'll be so protected he should enter the ring wearing a giant condom.

I think Brodie is a far superior boxer than Harrison and Scott seems to have trouble with pure boxers, having said that Scott will be much stronger than Brodie.

Good matchup if it comes off

Bloody hell, if he was prepared to face Chi twice, his missus must have been a fornicating loon!

Harrison wins, Brodie can box but he will end up in a war and get clobbered in about 8 rounds. Will be a good fight while it lasts.

Brodie's boxing always seems to break down at some point, and when it does he invariably gets hurt. Even Pastor Maurin managed to nearly stop him. He's got a chance as Harrison is a bit more of a plodder than Chi, but I still favour Harrison.

I hope Brodie can win.

A great match-up and much better than Marquez (a boring loss) or Polo. This will be an exciting domestic clash which'll setlle whos the best of british. I think it may look like Broadie-Chi but I'll be gunning for Broadie although I think hes too small

I feel I may be in a minority here but I think this could be a bad match for Michael Brodie. I thought Brodie looked poor in the Chi match and had the look of a fighter on the slide.

Is it really a good move for Brodie to be put in with another dreadnought of a Featherweight like Scott Harrison? A fighter who is as big and strong as Chi?

Brodie has good Boxing skills and will possibly for a few rounds hold his own against Harrison but either he will be tempted into a brawl as he often is, or Harrisons pressure and physical strength will force the faded Brodie into into one.

Either way I see the brave Manchester fighter in another tough, long and punishing fight ending in defeat for the faded Brodie.

No you are not in the minority, unless its just you and me. To be honest, fights at featherweight are a mistake for Brodie in general - between him marking up and his whiskers at this weight - I feel he will always lose at the highest level. Not just the highest level, but at Harrison's level.

He should really see a nutritionalists to try and move back down.

No count me in on that as well, not particuarly a good match for Brodie but if he can box on the outside then who knows? I see him getting dragged into a brawl at some point though and when that happens i think Harrison's strength takes over and Brodie gets stopped...round 8 seems logical to me.

It's signed.

Brodie was talking to my mate in the bank yesterday, he was full of it. Reckons Harrison has been avoiding him for years, it will be on the Hatton undercard.

I see brodie jabbing and moving with the occasional body shot, in Manchester i recon he's got a chance, Brodie has avoided Harrison for years, the last few fights must have given him some encouragement, Harrison is so flat footed the only way to beat him is movement. problem is if Brodie catches one it might be lights out, and they both mark up quite badly, should be a good fight.

Would make a great chief support for Ricky in Manchester. Probably one of the best domestic match ups out there.

I can see Harrison stopping Brodie late but it will be a cracking fight.

Too good to be true if this is on the Hatton undercard...almost guaranteed to be a tear up.
I tend to agree, it's a good match for Harrison, and a bad match for Brodie.

But...........if Mike somehow keeps boxing and avoids a punch up, he could win. Add to that: Scot doesn't like body shots too much, which are a Brodie speciality.....

But the fact that Mike almost always ends up going to war, the bigger Harrison should grind him down late.

I will be shocked if Harrison v Brodie is on the Hatton V Tszyu undercard as it is a fight that will sejl well in it's own right. From the promoters point of view I am not sure it would make too much business sense putting these two fights on the same card.

Will it only sell well in Scotland though? Look at the turnout for the two Chi fights - a brilliant match on paper and the first one delivered a classic.

I think it will sell well in Scotland. I can't see to many 'big' fights appearing on the Hatton bill, as this will/has sell out and get good PPV figures regardless who is on the undercard so why should the promoters pay out for other big names to appear?

Or am I just being a bit cynical?

They should get this fight on in edinburgh like with Alex arthur/ and gary young on the support,, we always fill up shows her while glasgow aint been as good for harrison although they may come out for this one,, but yeah no sense to put it on hatton card, get it on here with alez arthur and co and it will sell out bigtime,

Its a gamble, Hatton gets good ratings now - but nobody has had to pay 14 quid before. I don't count the Olivera fight because he was supporting Klitchsko vs Williams.

I think it would make it less of a gamble if it could be the main event but with "2-3 world" title fights on the undercard. Harrison vs Brodie, Maccrinelli vs Nelson and maybe an WBU/IBO title fight.

ALSO GETS EM EXPOSURE ON US TV!
somethign that has been lacking for some considerable time.
maybe with Hennesey's coup of working Froch and Witter with Oscar, Frank wants some exposure for his named fighters too.
Its possible or am i just being an optimist?
