If Canelo will beat clearly GGG and Bivol, do you think he will fight Beterbiev @ 175 on Cinco de Mayo 2023 ?

And how this fight would go, knowing that Beterbiev will be 38 y/o ?
As great as Canelo and his rock solid chin are, they wont be seeing the final bell in that one, Beterbiev is a beast, and one year from now ain't gonna change that.
I'd have to see it to believe it.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑21 Jun 2022, 14:32As great as Canelo and his rock solid chin are, they wont be seeing the final bell in that one, Beterbiev is a beast, and one year from now ain't gonna change that.
I don't think Canelo would be that reckless to stand there in front of AB. Most probably Canelo would try to box and move a lot vs AB.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑21 Jun 2022, 14:32As great as Canelo and his rock solid chin are, they wont be seeing the final bell in that one, Beterbiev is a beast, and one year from now ain't gonna change that.

Canelo's beard and neck muscles are like forged iron. Canelo would not trade with a guy like Arthur. Canelo would try to box behind his jab and move. Lots of feints and angles.golden_balls wrote: ↑21 Jun 2022, 14:35I'd have to see it to believe it.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑21 Jun 2022, 14:32As great as Canelo and his rock solid chin are, they wont be seeing the final bell in that one, Beterbiev is a beast, and one year from now ain't gonna change that.
I think Artur would win for sure and I also think Bivol would beat Canelo in any rematch, but Canelo's chin is Easter Island head. I reckon he'd be there at the end, albeit looking a little second-hand.
It really depnds on how old gets AB in 1 year. But atm if this fight would happen (@175lbs&no rehydration clause), I think Beterbiev would bulldoze Canelo into a stoppage. Canelo is gassing out fast at 180-185 lbs on fight night.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑21 Jun 2022, 15:27who do you think wins canelo vs bert?apollo creed wrote: ↑21 Jun 2022, 15:26I don't think Canelo would be that reckless to stand there in front of AB. Thats true but lets not forget that Canelo was willing to take a big risk at 175. Canelo is a small fighter. There are very few fighters that are willing to take those risks, not to mention that Canelo has the great option to take softer fights and still make huge money.coneye wrote: ↑21 Jun 2022, 21:58 Won't happen , think Canelo's relized now the judges cannot help him everytime , prior to Bivol , he had just started believing his own publicity machine and forgot the amount of times he had help from his opponents being aging and past it ,, weight drained , and just good old fashioned bent judges , Bivol brought him back to reality
Yeah I was miscalculating the dates of the fights. Probably on Cinco de Mayo 2023 it would be the rematch with Bivol.gregregegg wrote: ↑21 Jun 2022, 22:27 If he beat them both clearly this year then he would i think. But, i doubt he fights GGG and Bivol this year let alone beating them both clearly... . more likely he fights GGG sep 2022 then Bivol cinco de mayo 2023, and then mabey berterb september 2023 if we are lucky..
If he bashes GGG then has the confedence to go strait into bivol in December the his mindset is deadly. If he then convincingly beats bivol I have no reason to think he would be scared of berteb in may.apollo creed wrote: ↑22 Jun 2022, 03:13Yeah I was miscalculating the dates of the fights. Only if after the GGG III, Canelo would want to rematch Bivol in December and if he wins legitly, then unify vs AB in 2023?
Think thats the point he took a risk because he believed he had been winning on his own , no help from weight clauses , no help from opponents being well past there use by date , no help from dodgy judges who did'nt want to miss out on the champagne and caviar lunches , he really thought he was has good has his publicity machine made him out to be ,, is he good COURSE HE IS , is he good enough to beat the big fellas who can , box , punch and take a punch ,, No wayapollo creed wrote: ↑22 Jun 2022, 03:09Thats true but lets not forget that Canelo was willing to take a big risk at 175. I mean it still depends on who's there for him at 168 too. That's his real Div, but somone would have to do somthig really nice to put themselves in 2023 may 5th contention there. If benivedez beat charlo and plant or something like that then he would probably fight him instead.
I get your point, probably Canelo's ko win over a washed up-past version of Kovalev, boosted Canelo's confidence a lot in picking Bivol. Also Bivol's last 3 fights were mediocre, so it didn't suggest that Bivol is that good.coneye wrote: ↑22 Jun 2022, 06:11Think thats the point he took a risk because he believed he had been winning on his own , no help from weight clauses , no help from opponents being well past there use by date , no help from dodgy judges who did'nt want to miss out on the champagne and caviar lunches , he really thought he was has good has his publicity machine made him out to be ,, is he good COURSE HE IS , is he good enough to beat the big fellas who can , box , punch and take a punch ,, No wayapollo creed wrote: ↑22 Jun 2022, 03:09Thats true but lets not forget that Canelo was willing to take a big risk at 175. Probably, it really depends if he'll put on a clinic vs 40 y/o GGG.apollo creed wrote: ↑22 Jun 2022, 08:37gregregegg wrote: ↑22 Jun 2022, 06:03If he bashes GGG then has the confedence to go strait into bivol in December the his mindset is deadly. Beterbiev’s style is tailor-made for Canelo.
And if Canelo defies my personal expectations and avenges his loss to Bivol, then the Mexican would probably relish the opportunity to unify against Beterbiev.
The one big issue though, relates to Top Rank’s approach to doing business.
They rarely agree to stage cross-promotional cross-network events.
For instance, Bob Arum is not interested in pitting Beterbiev against Bivol. This isn't hearsay. He actually said this a week or so ago.
And Top Rank rarely even attempt to outbid their rivals.
The only reason they can afford to have Tyson Fury in their stable is due to the costs being shared with Queensberry and BT Sports.
So Top Rank may either be outbid by the PBC or DAZN to acquire Canelo’s services, or Bob Arum may insist that Canelo takes a pay cut to face Beterbiev.
That’s poses a huge problem for fight fans, because Canelo won’t agree to dance to the tunes dictated to him by Bob Arum, especially if the Mexican is capable of exploiting much better offers from the PBC and DAZN.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure that Bob Arum, Top Rank and ESPN would love to have Canelo appearing on their “side of the street”, but the question is whether they’re willing to pay for it.
And I’m not so sure they are.
