Press Release | Tszyu vs. Horn 2.0 is Set: Nikita Tszyu vs. Ben Horn on July 20 in Sydney

A sequel to one of Australian boxing’s most recent rivalries, No Limit Boxing presents the ‘Battle of the Brothers’ with the younger brothers of both world title contender Tim Tszyu and former world champion Jeff Horn to fight in Sydney next month.

Nikita Tszyu, an exciting young prospect, will challenge Ben Horn at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on Wednesday, July 20 in a No Limit on Fox event.

In just his third professional fight since his March debut, 24 year-old Tszyu (2-0, 2 KO) will look to continue his devastating run of knockouts having stopped both of his first two opponents inside two rounds.

The experienced Horn (4-4, 2 KO), whose alias is ‘The Hunter’, is coming off a highly-controversial split decision loss for the prestigious Australian title. The 32 year-old has big fight experience having fought on some of the most well known cards in recent Australian boxing history (Tszyu v Horn; Horn v Zeraffa; Horn v Mundine).

No Limit Boxing CEO George Rose said: “For me, the original will always be a classic. It was the crowning of a new king of Australian boxing in our man Tim Tszyu. It was also a long and brutal story that had plenty of plot twists and questionable characters but one that ultimately ended with a great battle and plenty of heart.”

“Everyone knows the best sequels are action-packed family dramas, and Tszyu v Horn part two will be no different.”

“Will ‘The Hunter’ avenge his fallen brother or will Nikita defend the family name and continue his rise to the top? I’d be getting my tickets and popcorn early for this thriller folks, as you won’t want to miss it.

“Ben comes from a fighting family and is the most experienced fighter Nikita has faced. He has a world champion brother (Jeff) and trainer (Glenn Rushton) in his corner.

“Ben was the only super welterweight in Australia who walked the talk and genuinely chased this fight. It’s a credit to him, he’s a genuine fighter. There’s a host of fighters quick to shout the Tszyu name and claim they want him next but a deafening silence when I follow them up.

“Nikita’s a walking highlight reel every time he steps foot into the ring. His raw talent is limitless and I know Igor will have him prepared for anything. The power in his hands is something else and it’s making noise not just here in Australia on his opponents, but around the world.”

The boxer with the biggest travelling support group in Australia and number seven ranked fighter in the world, Sam Goodman (12-0), is also set to fight on the No Limit on Fox event.

Hahah that's an excellent idea. Tszyu should smash him to bits, but they have somehow made a journeyman and 2 fight prospect into a name clash.

IV always said john Parker, Tommy fury and Marcelo wilder should fight. Brother wars are a classic marketing ploy I recon.

I wonder if Nikita could tempt the real hornet out of retirement soon.

Press Release | Undercard Set

Less than a fortnight after his unanimous decision victory over Ben Hannant in Brisbane on June 29, State of Origin legend Justin Hodges is getting back into the ring.

Hodges (4-1) is a late addition to the undercard for No Limit Boxing’s Tsyzu v Horn 2.0 ‘Battle of the Brothers’ undercard.

The former Brisbane Broncos NRL captain will face social media influencer and YouTuber Jordan Simi (debut) over four rounds at Sydney’s Hordern Pavillion on Wednesday July 20.

The heavyweight said he was eager to get back in the ring after his last performance.

“I got the win against Ben but if I’m honest, I was as disappointed that he was still standing at the end…Jordan Simi won’t be as lucky.” Hodges said.

“I could’ve gone back home and sat around waiting for the Paul Gallen fight to happen but who knows with Gal and his schedule if that was going to be anytime soon.

“He’s been chasing Sonny Bill for a decade. I wasn’t going to wait around on his terms for my next shot, so I told George Rose if an opportunity came up before then I’d take it.”

Hodges will be looking to land his third KO in the professional ranks in his sixth bout.

“Admittedly, I didn’t think my next fight would be this quick but if a knockout of this YouTuber next Wednesday secures me a payday with Gal later this year, then bring it on.”

“This is a serious fight and I plan on doing serious damage to him. I hope he’s taking it seriously and not trying to pretend to be some Jake Paul wannabe chasing followers on his YouTube or whatever.

“This isn’t social media, this is the fight game and you’re going to get hurt.”

No Limit Boxing’s CEO George Rose said he was happy to oblige Justin Hodges request for another fight before potentially facing Paul Gallen.

“I have no doubt Hodgo will be calling on all of his Queensland spirit to get the knockout in Sydney on July 20, just a week after the Origin decider,” said promoter George Rose.

“There’s not too many fans that like him in New South Wales around Origin time, but Justin always takes it in his stride and gives fans the entertainment they expect.

“A convincing win here for Hodgo and I’ll probably be looking to get him and Gal to sign the contracts before they’ve left the venue on the night.

“It’s another stacked No Limit card at the Hordern Pavilion with Nikita’s fight with Ben Horn sure to be all action given the family history at stake. Don’t miss it on Fox Sports and KAYO as it's going to be a great night of action in Sydney.”

One thing I don’t agree with. It’s a 6 round main event.

Can’t be having that.

10 round minimum or nothing.

I know they’re inexperienced, but they’re clearly cashing in on the names and it’s PPV i believe..

I dont think it matters, Nikita will spark ben in a round or 2. but i agree in principal, but i could cop an 8 rounder minimum for main event.

Highlights looked great. admit i didnt see the full round but i find it very hard to see how 2 of the judges could have given it to Tszyu. Horn hurt him with an upercut-cross-uppercut-cross-lead uppercut combo early in the round, and then absolutly rocked him with a big right late in the round. I dont care how much neat work you do inbetween, if you get rocked twice and dont rock the opponent its verrrrrry hard for me to score the round to you.

Nikita needs a good rest and a step back and carrer path re route, but fornicate i love a prospect having a crack and going to war rather than fighting bums 6th fight on the card that get stopped the first time a decent combo lands...

horm defo won the last round, almost had him gone at the end.

still tszyu won all the others, applying constant pressure.

still he has a lot to learn. much to careless coming in. a top counter puncher would look him out and put him on his ass easily...

entertaining scrap though. they obviously picked the 6 round limit for a reason.
