One of our greatest with legendary defence skills.
Who would forget Fammo's KO through the ropes of Fighting Harada.
A very sad day - RIP.

In 1987 / 88 he would sometimes be having a quiet beer in the front bar of a pub near Victoria Market. More often than not he'd be on a stool at the bar on his own, reading the newspaper. Boxing followers that recognised him would sometimes go up for a chat but otherwise you would never have guessed he was a former world champion boxer. He never looked it and he never acted it. Always presented himself as as a humble guy. RIP champ
