What ever happened to him did he officially retire?

A question I've been asking myself...
Last active in November 2019, so you can only assume he has retired? Still only 33.

Doesn't put enough bums on seats to generate enough money.

Too good and not exciting enough be an opponent.

Turbo Terry disappeared. Attended a fight of his in MEN arena years back. The Crolla fight should have happened.

Ritson vs Flanagan would be a great fight that could kick start both careers and Ritson also seems to have stalled since joining boxxer - no fight since the Newcastle show.

Another "natural" rival for Manchester's Flanagan would be Jack Catterall.

There are fights for him with appeal.

Shame we never got Flanagan vs. Crolla.. Especially when they both had a belt.

Steve Wood got him a deal with Matchroom, he was going to headline a card in Manchester against Selby. Then at the last moment he decided against it, dropped Steve Wood and signed with MTK. The Manchester card got scrapped altogether, it was the one where Buatsi stepped in and got injured again. I assume after leaving Warren and doing over Matchroom any possibilities of getting a big fight again in the UK disappeared

Ritson is with Probellum I think, not Boxxer.

Flanagan vs. Crolla, another fight Eddie failed to deliver.

Not just Eddie’s fault. Flanagan was with FW and struggled to sell at all whilst Crolla at least had some more meaningful fights.

I guess he's retired, almost three years out the ring, 33 years old and not with F.W anymore.

An evening with Scott Quigg and Terry Flanagan. Could've been a winner on the Manchester after dinner circuit.

Decent little new interview with Terry on the excellent BBTV YouTube channel. Looks like he's packed-in. Back bricklaying and doing a bit in the gym with other fighters. Seems balanced and contented enough. Hopefully he has a few quid banked and can take things easy in later life. Job done.

He should have had bigger fights and paydays and I find it a little sad that he’s back bricklaying now. I think he had more ability than Crolla actually yet Crolla had several bigger fights and likely earned far more money.

What's wrong with bricklaying? Even retired boxers with pots of cash need something worthwhile to do in retirement.

Absolutely nothing wrong with it. If it keeps him busy and brings in a decent income then happy days. It just makes me think he didn’t get the money he could have done from his career. 7 or 8 world title fights and he had a fellow world champ in the same weight division from his own city.

Perhaps I’m wrong but I would have thought if he was financially secure then I’d have thought he’d have gone down the training route as he was always pretty technically sound.

SO interesting the more talented fighter will get put to the wasteside if he can't sell tickets.

terry had a less patchy record than crolla coming up, but at their peaks im not sure terry was the better fighter

I think it’s a really close fight at their peaks. Shame we never saw it in that sense.

Crolla V Flanigan, 2 Manc lads who went to
the same school, 1 City the other a Utd fan..it was was almost criminal that they didn’t fight at the MEN back then.

I think Terry would probably have won and was the better fighter, however to his credit, Ant rung everything out of his ability and also had by far the better trainer etc

Bricklaying is paying fantastic wages just now. Not to be sniffed at
