The great Juan Manuel Marquez by decision. The great Wilfredo Gomez at 126lbs wasn't the monster he was at 122lbs. Maybe the great Salvador Sanchez had something to do with that.

Gomez still good enough at 126 that the judges don't agree (though they all have it close), and the fight winds up a draw, that's what I see.

Tend to agree. The Sanchez fight tends to make people think Gomez couldn’t fight at 126, but he dominated LaPorte, who was a belt holder who had lost a highly questionable decision to Pedroza, and was beating The Professor until he got caught late. I think it’s a close fight that could have gone either way
