tough as nails, chin of iron, not the most explosive, harder hitting. Fastest, teeming with talent boxers melted when he kept it pressured on tuem
Just a hard working, mild mannered kid from scotland with an iron will and pure love of the game
Underrated fighter

Those types of Boxers are Very Admirable.
Great work-ethic and doggedly determined.
90% mental and 10% physical is obviously a severe exaggeration.
It's something more along the lines of 50% physical and 50% mental powers, for Boxing.

I'd say it's nearer 90% physical and 10% mental.
The 10% mental side comes in when the 90% physical has gone.
A boxing ring is no place to be when you've nothing left in the tank.
Just try to go into a fight with only 10% of your training devoted to physical training.
Boxers like Mayweather and Froch heavily relied upon their superior conditioning.
If it was 90% mental then you'd never see anyone retire.

Yes. I Totally understand you're point.
The Reason I concluded (50% Physical 50 % Mental) is due to the Knowledge factor being A Big Factor.
For example, someone like BHop, at 57, or even when he's 67, and "Even if" Not in particularly Good Condition Anymore(Lets say he puts on 40 lbs of fat for a movie-role), Could Very Well Still Beat the Daylights out of some random off the street 30 year old tough guy, who is Bigger and Stronger than BHop, and hits hard, and has good cardio capacity, just from doing many hours of tough and strenuous manual labor work. But has Never actually Boxed before, thus Doesn't have the know-how of How to Utilize his Natural And Developed Physical advantages/attributes.
That's basically my point in my 50-50 theory, pertaining to the Physical and Mental aspects of Boxing, and/or Fighting in General.

Carl Froch comes to my mind. Beat a lot of better boxers just because he was tougher man.

If he has an iron chin, then that sounds like a natural gift to me. His superior-skilled opponents... it sounds like they worked harder to develop better skills. We should have an appreciate post for al of Ricky Burns's opponents who worked hard to develop their skills.
