Fury vs AJ on for Dec. 3rd

I'm picking AJ to win. Think his inside fighting, with uppercuts will be the difference. Fury won't be able to maul and hang on him like he did Wilder, who needed distance to throw his big shots.

Finally, a huge step up for Fury.

Hearn, Joshua and Warren all want the fight.
But it's not confirmed until the fickle Fury agrees, and Arum said a few days ago it won't happen.
So although I'm more optimistic now, I still have some doubt that it will really happen. I hope it does though, it's an excellent matchup for the heavyweight division.

Using the eye test, I would have to say Fury, they only have one common opponent that I can think of, which is Whyte, but there was quite a period in between, and Whyte seems to have become pretty chinny, and the fact he lost to a pretty well worn Sasha, suggests he wasn't in great form.
Joshua was still improving when he fought Whyte, and lest we forget, aside from getting staggered momentarily, he battered him.
Fury has the skills to give Joshua big problems, especially in the later rounds - and he potentially has the ability to go straight for him early doors, though I doubt that personally.
I still say though, that other than Wlad, Joshua is the best man he will have faced, albeit a man who mentally looks to be somewhat less than he was pre Ruiz.
It's easy to get to carried away with predictions, and 'Fighter X will annihilate Fighter Y' but actually such outcomes are pretty rare in top level fights, and tend to be relatively closely contested.
I think the most likely outcome is an easy points win for Fury, with Joshua fighting negatively enough to let the rounds slip by, for fear of being countered, with a Fury win by late TKO the next most likely.
I won't however discount the possibility that Joshua manages to hit and hurt Fury, at some point, and having the skills to finish the job, unlike Wilder.
Edit - they of course have 3 opponents in common - with Wlad being the elephant in the room, along with Kevin Johnson and Whyte.

There is still an element of doubt pertaining to the validity of whether Fury has a decent chin. Ignore Wilder fight 1, the Undertaker style recovery was more due to Fury riding the punch beautifully, it wasnt as flush as many folk think. The knockdowns in fight 3 were pathetically delivered and pathetically taken to be honest.
Failing Joshua landed a decent shot, he'll likely get woefully outboxed, woefully outhustled and woefully outscored. So yeah, the definitive crux point could come down to Fury's real punch resistance.... If Joshua is prepared to let the right hand go that is.

What type of shape will Fury be in? Your guess is as good as mine, AJ fights differently than Wilder. He can box a bit. I think he wins this ones. Don't get me wrong, Fury is over rated and AJ is not that good.

Whatever happens now no one can ever say Anthony Joshua was ducking Fury.
It was bullshit all along.
As for Fury, what's the problem now?
He's got the terms, the date, the venue, and he's got AJ's signature?
What more does he possibly want?
What a nightmare of a human being to do business with??
Avaricious, greedy, paranoid, duplicitous, dishonourable and ultimately little more than a conniving, calculating conman.
All the money in the world won't help him with that.

Fury's credibility and integrity is basically crap, if you're honest. He's proven that.
Who knows what will happen? Maybe Fury is back on drugs and steriods again, who knows?

This is my major concern, is that Fury may well actually just fiddle and feint his way to a win, with a hestitant Joshua kept guessing all night.,

Maybe Fury will pull out of the fight, like he's done a few times before. Claim covid, a relative dies, drug/ped induced depression, etc.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised or diappointed. He's ugly to watch.

Pretty cool that they went through with this fight anyway. It's still a major fight, not as big as it would've been obviously if AJ had won, but it's still a major fight.

I honestly think AJ has a great chance of beating Fury. Not because I hate Fury (which I admit), but because of the style match-up.
AJ is a better boxer all around than Wilder. His infighting is Way better. He has nasty uppercuts, is very strong, prime age, a little less power than Wilder.
Out-boxing Wilder is easy. SurvivIng his ko punch is harder. Fury has a chin, but over-rated as a boxer.
