Rico Hoye seems confident ahead of Friday night, how do you see this fight going

not sure... i cannot decide between Woods getting a real beating, or Hoyes arse going after Woods takes his best shots and keeps firing back....

Haven't seen Hoye in action, so hard to know what to make of him. Similar build to Bob Foster, hope for Clinton's sake he doesn't punch like him. That ko win over Richard Hall looks good though.

Got a feeling he'll get to Woods before the half way mark.

His uncle Bobby Rico Hoye was a decent middleweight in his time. He came over here around 20 years ago, for his last fight, and was blasted out inside a round by Errol Christie.

I agree. I hear that his fight with Montell Griffin was very close. Anyone know how much Montell has left these days? I've not seen him in years... Maybe (if Montell's nearly shot) it means that Hoye won't know what to do if Clinton moves on him, gives him angles?

Maybe (dare I say it) a reply of Woods vs Crawford Ashley?

I think Hoye will hurt Woods, I think Woods' ability to absorb punches maybe on the wain, and Hoye might be the Hardest hitter in the devision.

I think it will be a bright start by Woods, but even though he might lead, there will only be one winner.

Hoye has a great overhand right to the back of the head :) which he kayoed Wiggins and Hall with. Clinton is best to keep his head up and back against the ropes. Hoye looked like crap vs Griffin who easily outboxed him. Griffin didn't throw many punches, but he easily made Hoye miss and landed back. Prince Badi Ajumu a short, but strong fighter in the weight class basically forced Hoye down in the 2nd round of their fight with strength. Hoye got up and ran a marathon, jabbing, so he is a good athelete.

I saw both of Woods fights vs Johnson and I liked what I saw. I mean he finished the 1st fight strong. If Hoye goes crazy and wastes his energy putting Woods on the ropes and then eating the occasional counter, I give Woods a decent shot of pulling it off. especially with the home country scoring. I think Woods is more accurate for sure. I think Hoye's power is overrated.

I agree Stu, Woods' punch resistance is not what it once was. Not seen Hoye but if he hits as hard as they say Woods could well get knocked out. Hard to pick but Hoye for me just hope Woods makes a fight of it.

Will be missing it unfortunately, going to Moncao on thursday for the weekend. The Mrs will go mad if I try and tune into the BBC to watch it any idea if you can get normal BBC in Europe? Got satellite TV and all that shit in the room.

Hoye didn't land anything against Montell Griffin. May be Montell very tricky fighter I don't know, but Hoye look very silly-to say at least
Hoye tryed to move forward all the time in Griffin fight and seemed just looking for one shot, and this shot never came. So if Woods has any defence he will do fine.
Too bad I never saw Woods fighting so I can't make a prediction.

I have a bad feeling clinton will look totally shot in this one. I wouldn't be surprised if he went down inside the first 2 rounds.

I think everyone is very much overestimaing Hoye's phenomenal punching power as if he's the second coming of Bob Foster, most of his career, he's been knocking out palookas. When he's stepped up, he hasn't looked anywhere near as impressive.

BBC1 and BBC2 (and BBC World) came with the 'normal' TV package when I lived in Holland a couple of years ago. I think it's the same in Belgium.

Last time I was in France I couldn't get BBC 1 or 2.

I think its only like the BeNeLux countries that have BBC1 & 2. Here we have BBC world and Prime.
You can get the other BBC channels if you got a very big satellite dish, around 1,5 meters but the picture is not good in bad weather ect. Its probably the same ting in southern France.

Hoye couldnt land on Griffin, but he's just a little more slippery than Woods!

Seen Hoye a couple of times and even though he struggles against better operators he has the hunger and the desire...does Woods have that left? Judging on his Glen Johnson fights i wuld suggest not, Hoye will come out throwing bombs and possibly body shots too (his corner has suggested this will be there tactic) and catch Woods out, Woods getting dropped early is a probability, Jason DeLisle caught him cold remember last time out.

Naseem lives in a very nice part of Sheffield. Redmires I think. And yes, there are some lovely part of the Steel City, before anyone decides to have a crack!

I fancy Hoye via KO here and am having a decent bet on it. Sadly may not see the bout as will be in Hartlepool watching Michael Hunter. Should be e decent scrap tho if Woods can negate the first four rounds.
