Lirva do you work in the Witter camp or something? You seem a little obssessed with Witter and very anti-hatton. I have a feeling you won't be here after Hattons Zoo fight happens and I wouldn't pay out on £500 either
Mayweather-Gatti is happening this is just typical negotiations, Witter will have to wait.

Jeez, this is forum worthy news. Gatti may fight Witter next. I don't think the Mickey Wards and James leijas will prepare him for Witter to be honest.

Lirva are you Witter

I think Witter can beat Gatti but its a 50-50. And the fight is very unlikely to happen

Didn't Witter break his hand against N'Dou, which might make it difficult for him to take an early summer fight?
Shame really, I fancy Witter's chances against Gatti.

Yeah he broke it in the 4th round I believe.
Explains why he let Ndou off the hook insteak of pounding him to the mat as he was doing. It makes it all the more impressive that he beat Ndou too.

Gatti has a good chance. It's a very intriquing matchup.
Gatti looked spectacular against Leija. He was boxing brilliantly and Leiga couldn't get near him really. Gatti controlled everything with the jab and it was inevitable that he was going to land the right hand off the jab sooner rather than later. Unfortunately Leiga couldn't beat Gatti to the punch and he took the full punishment. Gatti also outboxed Ward quite easily in their second fight. But he fought Ward at times in the third fight.
Witter on the other hand is a very unorthodox fighter who can throw either a right or left with stinging power. He has KO power in either hand basically. I would be a little bit nervous for Witter in his next fight due to his hand breaking against Ndou. I genuinely believe his hand broke in the 4th or 5th round as he suggests but there is an opinion that he may be covering up his losing of round by saying he broke his hand. There is no shame in losing round to the durable Ndou who lets not forget, BEAT Mitchell and lost 7/5 to Cotto.
All in all, we get a very, very attractive match.
Gatti will obviously try to box Witter and lead with the jab. Undoubtably Witter will catchm him early at some point and this will lead to war IMO. This is where Gatti comes into his own, but has he gone to the well too many times? Has he ever faced the power of Witter?
I fancy Witter to prevail. At the end of the day, I watched Witter eat some full force Judah lefts and Ndou rights, with no responce, but how many times has Gatti been down? And mostly, not even against true LW's.
I simply can't back Gatti in this one and I see Witter being too slippery for him.
Remember, Witter is MUCH better than Ward and Leija.

I'd pick Witter to KO Gatti in the mid rounds.
If he didn't then i cant see the judges going against Gatti for some reason.

my money was on Witter against Ndou and it is on Witter no matter who he fights. I get the Witter fights right.

Witter has an excellent chance against Gatti. He's not been facing bona fide top light welters recently. Lets not forget Ward lost clearly to every top drawer fighter he faced but Gatti managed to lose to him in one of their three fights which were all a lot closer than any other top guys Vs Ward. Leija is a lightweight and old at that.
Gatti is great box office but a top drawer light welter he is not. Mayweather will take him to school if the fight comes off.
Before you jump on my back Witter is not proven at 140 however he is on the rise not in the twilight of his career as Gatti is. Have to say full respect to Gatti's team they have done wonders with him since the DLH loss to get him a world title. I think any of the top drawer guys at 140 beat him. Hatton, Witter, Mayweather, Tszyu, Harris, Cotto whoever gets to fight him first.

I also think witter would beat Gatti. By KO. When was the last time gatti fought a dangerous puncher? Oscar isn't a huge hitter, and gatti had no answer to his shots. I have a feeling that gatti could go down to single shots in this one, something that would shock America after seeing gatti as their tough warrior for so long.
yeah, witter by KO. Brutally.

I think Gatti-Witter is a very interesting fight.
On the one hand Witter's power and unorthodox technique should pose problems for Gatti.
But on the other hand Gatti has shown such a will to win so often that it's hard to pick against him.
Plus the N'Dou fight aside, Witter's recent competition hasn't been as good as Gatti's, and may flatter Witter.
I still fancy Witter to win though. I think he can confuse Gatti with his style and outbox him.

I still think Witter needs another fight or 2 before going in for one of the big belts, try and go another 12 rounds, i'd rather see Witter go into a big fight with Gatti or whoever with that experience under him, which at the minute i think he lacks, but a few more fights and he may have it, anyway if the fight does come off i hope Witter crushes Gatti.

Vivian Harries, although looked improved on his last performance I still say is the weakest champion by some distance. Witter should be looking for him.
Witter vs Gatti, got to fancy Gatti here. Witter hits like a sledgehammer, but Gatti has got a great chin. I think Gatti is quicker, hits harder and moves alot better than N'dou who IMO gave Witter fits.
If it wasn't for the KD's, Witter would have lost and if N'dou could have exerted the pressure and flowed a bit better during the mid rounds he might have forced the stoppage. Yes, Witter wasn't in any serious danger of getting stopped - but N'dou wasn't exerting a tremendous pressure.
Gatti RSF 9.

Would be a fascinating matchup. Gatti doesn't really get taken out by single shots which it does appear is all JUnior can manage. He (Witter) better be ready to put in some consistent work to win rounds or even stop Gatti.
I still have my doubts he's capable of it....

Yes, that is an excellent point. Nobody has ever managed to finish off Gatti with one huge shot, and that appears to be Jr's forte. He's not really a worker, and he tends to potshot. For every one or two he throws, Gatti is going to be letting his hands go.
I can see Gatti winning a decision unless Jr stops him.

Much as Witter's power has improved, Gatti's chin is better. Witter may well have the style to win - he's certainly quicker than Gatti the Boxer, but realistically Gatti's been hit with a lot in his life and not much suggests that Witter, despite his recent record, is the man to stop Gatti
