Question: How are the rankings affected with
Joe Joyceโs recent stoppage win over
Joseph Parker?
How high does Joyce move and where does this leave Parker?

You get 2 votes each. Please use one vote per boxer.
Weโll keep it running for a week or so.
Should give us enough time.

Some might just say flip the 2 boxers.
Put Joyce at #4 and Parker at #7..

Parker drops to #7 while Ruiz, Whyte and Joyce (up to #6) each move up a space each to fill the gaps.
Solid win for Joyce but AJ (#2) and Whyte (#6>#5) also have wins over Parker with significantly more depth to their resume. Ruiz has wins over AJ (#2) and Ortiz (#10) with a debated and pretty historic loss to Parker (#4>#7) in 2016. Parker as a sole stand out win is not nearly enough to rank him much higher at this stage. He clearly has the ability to reach the top with some more wins though.
Parker has ultimately recorded wins over Ruiz (#5>#4), Chisora x2 (#8), Takam and Hughie. That's comfortably a better list of wins than anyone ranked 8 or below. His losses are to AJ (#2), Whyte (#6>#5) and Joyce (#7>#6). There's no logical case for him to drop any lower.
also, Parker is now ranked below Chisora in Boxrec's rankings lol

Joyce moves up to 4 (5 really)
The three currently above him stay in the same order but shift one space down to accommodate Joyce.

i think whyte has a slightly better record and he won their h2h, not really much in it btwn them tbh you could shuffle them around without it hardly making a difference. but i think it makes sense to just straight up swap joyce and parker

Interesting to see a couple of people ranking him number 2. I guess both AJ and Wilder are both coming off a pair of losses each, but those were from fighting the elite. I think Joyce would give either one a fight, but having Parker, Takam, Jennings and Dubois (a result which might age well over time)as the best on your resume does not leapfrog you right to the top of a division.
I wasn't sure what to do with Parker. He bashed Chisora up quite badly, and was very game last night. Whyte on the other hand was made to look dreadful by Fury, but Whyte has the win over Parker historically.
I'll go with majority and say swap 'em over. Joyce to 4, Parker to 7.

So youโre saying Joyce to 4,
Parker would end up 5th..
Thatโs not a bad shout.

11 votes for JJ and 9 got JP.
Either a couple of you havenโt voted on JP or someone has used two votes on JJ.
Keep it honest guys.

Since their fight,
Parker is 6-1
Whyte is 4-2
Similar-ish opponents.
Theyโd probably be favourites to beat whoever the other beat.. Rivas, Chisora, Wach, Povetkin.

I like that too.
Parker still gives anyone below #4 a hard night. Based on Parker's performance, I feel being moved down one reflects that.

Parker down to #7 (between Whyte and Chisora)
(Andy Ruiz moves up to #4 by default)
Joyce up to #5 (behind Andy Ruiz)

joyce to 2. quality win, AJ has just got clearly beat twice, and wilder hasnt won in 3 years.
parker to 6. that slots him between ruiz and dillian. interestingly bellow one he beat, but above the one that beat him. I was almost temted to not move joe bellow ruiz seeing as ruiz scrapppped a win of an old man looking shit. but coming of a win beats coming of a ko loss i guess (although wilders off 2 of them and still ranked high).

Joyce to 3. He'll deal with Joshua, but up to the date AJ just has a stronger resume.
Parker to 7. Having only Chisora in several recent years makes him better than just Chisora. Whyte and Ruiz clearly did more. Wilder deserves to be higher as well.

Joyce to #4
Parker to #7
Joshua fought well in his two losses to Usyk.
Wilder's body of work is deep enough to just about keep him at #3 even with back to back stoppage losses against Fury.
Parker is a legitimate name on Joyce's resume, but it's the only top 10 name he has, there's still more to do.
