Warren want to put Khan against Mitchell

Does anybody read his weekly column in the news of the world?
It's the only sunday paper I buy (hottest women IMO) but the other benefit is that it also has "frankly speaking", Warrens weekly boxing news. Well, without slagging him off, he doesn;t exactly praise anyone who isn't from his stable. This week he trys to entice Khan to sign for him by offering the incentive of a Mitchell fight.

In the latest Frankly Speaking, promoter allegedly says Kevin Mitchell against Amir Khan would be a mega fight, and reckons Howard Eastman only has himself to blame for losing to Bernard Hopkins.
As a promoter it always pays to look to the future – and speculation this week that Amir Khan is about to turn professional set me thinking.
Khan had 19 fights last year and met at least 12 national champions, including the World and Olympic gold medalists.
In the run up to the 2008 Games in Beijing, he would have had 80 fights and would have to win them all to stay on track for funding.
He would box in tournaments such as the European Amateur Championships and the last Brit to win that title was Frankie Taylor 45 years ago.
Now the youngster has pulled out of the ABA championships because he didn’t get enough tickets for his quarter final bout, and it seems almost inevitable that he will now join the paid ranks sooner rather than later.
And while there is some way to go, a fight I’d love to see in the future is one between Amir and Kevin Mitchell.
Before Amir came along Kevin the hottest amateur in boxing and has steadily been racking up the wins as a pro.
The Dagenham Destroyer is one of the best amateurs to turn professional in years, and won the ABA championships at 18, the same age Amir is now.
He didn’t go to Athens because he became disillusioned with the politics involved in the amateur side of things – but has few regrets because he is currently 12-0 and about to fight for his first title.
A clash with Khan seems a natural to me – not least because they two fighters have a massive support base.
It would be an instant sell-out and one thing is for certain – I’d guarantee Amir as many tickets as he wanted!

The Bernard Hopkins fight against Howard Eastman last week failed to live up to expectations.
Eastman was beaten on points in LA in a challenge for the undisputed middleweight title despite a pre-fight promise to knock out the champion in the fifth.
The Battersea Bomber claimed to have had a message from God telling him that would be the round the fight was won in – God lied to him.
Eastman only has himself to blame.
He failed to learn from his other world title fight against William Joppy where he started too slowly.
Sure enough, against Hopkins he hardly threw a shot for the first four rounds and things didn't get much better when he finally woke up.
Unbelievably Eastman demanded a rematch after the fight even though he lost by a landslide and landed just 13% - an average of less than seven a round - of the punches he threw.
For much of the fight Eastman looked as menacing as a Walford gangster but had the cheek to moan that Hopkins wouldn’t stand in front of him and allow himself to be hit.
Not getting punched while punching your opponent? Er, that’s what I thought boxing was all about!

Despite the name, he obviously was not In the Mood to be made a scapegoat! ***

Mayweather was given community service after pleading guilty to assault, while former lightweight champion Spadafora received a five-year sentence for shooting his girlfriend – but could get out in five months if he does a boot camp programme.
