Alen Babic vs. Peter Kadiru - EBU Ordered

EBU have ordered this.

If no agreement there will be purse bids on October 25.

Babic is at # 14 in the latest EBU ratings. Kadiru is # 16.

Everyone above is already scheduled to fight or have a fight date planned or waiting for something in the pipeline.

I doubt it happens, Babic is going the Bridget route.

Would be good for him to pick up the Euro belt.

Decent enough fight IF it does happen to be honest.

If Babic doesn't take it and assuming for some reason everyone above them in the rankings has passed on the fight then Allen's up next, then Zakhazhyi, Schwartz and Kudryasov. Would Kabayel, Wallin, Yoka, Kossobutskiy, Wardley, Fury and Kuzmin have passed this up already? If so, why?

I can see it now. Babic passes on the fight, Allen takes it, wins the EBU, gets a top 15 ranking with the WBC and fights Fury in April.

What is this ordered for? if its for the EBU belt Babic should jump at it.

How can 14 vs 16 be for a vacant belt.... thats fuked up, even if everyone else is booked, you gotta tell them, and let them change there plans possibly. Wardly is waiting to fight for the brittish. if you told him he could fight babic for the euro im sure he would be keen as mustard and would stall out on the brittish for a few months (or at least put a deadline on "talks)

Its a crying shame they didnt order Babic vs Dave allen ( only 1 ranking bellow Peter KADIRU).

They’re trying to get the Bridgerweight title fight over the line. This is a good back up though.

I can’t see that happening. Dave will walk through him, pick up a win in the trilogy against Lenroy Thomas and then unify through using his size against Usyk. Far more likely.

That was there goal. But honestly I doubt they ever thought they could be gifted a very very winnable heavyweight euro title fight. This is an insane gift…

Heavyweight euro is worth more than Bridger world I think… and bridger world will still be an option down the line… unless you have an excellent contract in place for bridger world title i can n out see how you wouldn’t at least explore this. Get it done this year, ready to fight for bridger march next year if you win.

There’s a decent chance he’d lose this fight hence wanting to be a failed World title challenger rather than getting ironed out in one of the if not the worst European heavyweight title fight in history.

By the end of the year Peter Kadiru (best win Roman Gorst), Tom Schwarz (best win Senad Gashi), Oleksander Zakhozhyi (best win Kevin Johnson) or Kudryasov (1-0 at heavyweight) will likely be the European champion. I don't understand why Kabayel, Yoka, Kossobutskiy, Hughie and Kuzmin have all turned this down as they have nothing scheduled. It would be a gift both financially and in terms of achievement.

When he came out of retirement he said this:
“I want to come back, I want to enjoy my boxing, I want to win, and I want to win titles, whatever the titles may be. The plan is to come back at a lower level and win.

“I’ll be boxing again, but I won’t be coming back to fight Alen Babic or Fabio Wardley for at least 12 months. I want to come back and enjoy boxing. I’m not coming back for the money. Otherwise, I would just sell myself to the highest bidder."

“I’d want to do five, six six-rounders, a couple of eight-rounders, then British title fight,”
So who knows if he will take it as it depends on whether he thinks he's ready for Kadiru. I know Allen is a love/hate guy but for the brutal beatings he's taken from top opponents, he deserves to get something good out of boxing.

If not Allen, then Zakhazhyi, Schwartz and Kudryasov. These are not the best bunch of guys in the running to get a European belt...

Allen changes his mind daily, he said in a recent interview:

1. He's having a four/six rounder in November than he's looking for a big fight.

2. He's going to have three more four/six rounders so he's got thirty fights on his record like his dad.

3. He might not box again.

Also I read recently (Twitter I think?) he'd agreed a fight with Justis Huni in December but the show fell through.

Peter Kadiru (now 14-1), was knocked out in the very first round against unheralded Marcos Antonio Ahumada (24-11) and that was a major setback as this was his first fight with his new promotion.

So from what i understand Babic has said he is going the WBC bridger path. And Kadiru just got sparked out....

going through the rankings, theres not many i can realisticaly see fighting for euro.

Is there a genuine chance of Dave allen getting ordered.... Allen vs Schwartz. Just fuking do it for a laugh EBU....

It really is. To me a euro title is gold. I think a euro basicaly allows you to headline medium sized cards, or co-main big cards.
I think its 100x better than some shitty "international/Global/intercontenental" ABC alfebet crap.

A euro possessed by a true world class guy isnt much bonus, but if your some battler it keeps you relevent. If you have a euro you should always be able find a 30th-70th ranked opponent, especialy if your considered very beatable.

Allen could legitimately win that. He'll never get a better opportunity to win a high profile belt.
