The fact is.. they chose to make the event more available for everyone themselves.

It did 2 million views because it was available on Wky Showcase and YouTube.

Put it on PPV and ur does 10 views..

i enjoyed the show but likewise wouldn't have paid for it , i'm all for equal pay in mens and womens sports as long as they can bring the same amount of audiences and revenue in not just because it ticks today's society's box

I`m not for equal pay at all.

How often have you seen a woman sparked clean out in a boxing match? Almost never. they don`t carry the same power and thus nowehere near the same risk.

they fight at most for 20 mins versus 36 mins. Big difference

No way they deserve the same pay

That's what it comes down to.. how much revenue can they bring in.. Market value.

Some boxers will sell regardless of who they fight.

There’s no such thing as equal pay in boxing. Fighters are paid their commercial worth or what they negotiate regardless of their sex.

If a woman fighter deliver bigger TV ratings than men comparable TV reach and marketing then they deserve more than some of the male boxers.

womens sport is improving and getting bigger especially in football , cricket and boxing but in all honesty i don't think i'll ever be as interested in woman's boxing , football or cricket like i am in the mens game

I agree with you. The same arguments were made in tennis when equal pay was first mentioned, best of 3 sets for women compared to best of 5 sets for men, much better athleticism and power and skill from the men etc etc

It all fell on deaf ears and now they get the same pay in the big events

It's a madness. I get that women can't compete equally with men in a boxing ring, football or rugby pitch and even a tennis court, however what about darts and snooker. They have no physical disadvantage in these sports, but they don't manage to compete. Why? Do they not put the hours in or they just not good enough? If you want equal pay, especially in sports where you have no physical disadvantage, then get in there and earn your.coin on merit

They can keep pushing this narrative that Women's Sports are as important as Men's, but they can't change reality.

The networks or somebody would apparently love for it all to be the same. But the reality shows that there's less interest. Less ticket sales. Less PPV buys. Less ratings. Less everything when it comes to Women's Sports. This is not me being Anti-Woman. This is me simply observing the reality of the world we live in.

Somebody is eventually gonna have to wake up and see this reality themselves. Especially if they're planning on using THEIR money to bankroll a money losing endeavor.

I am delighted that womens boxing is getting a lot of credit. They thoroughly deserve it and I hope they have even more sucess.

But to start suggesting ppv with women headlining is taking the p*ss, when they cant get the quality and value for money correct for mens shows.

Most if not all of the fighters want 3 minute rounds tbf, the amateurs fight them so does seem silly they are on 2 in the pros.

Dipping his big toe in the water , see the reaction ,, C'mon who the hell is going to front up there money to put a womans ppv on, might do OK if they include some naked jello wrestling , wet T shirt comps , and a dwarf throwing competition , give a reason to have a bbq , slab of beer and set the tele up outside ,, but even then it would have to be shown in a country with nice wether on a sunday afternoon , could'nt see many getting up for it at ackward hrs

Regardless of gender. If you do the numbers you should be paid accordingly imo
