Has anyone here read it ? If so, how in depth does it go into his tax problems with the I.R.S. ?

I have never seen the book myself, but SECONDS OUT OF THE RING was published in 1960, just a year after Johansson won the HW Championship of the World.
So I doubt it.

I was asking about the biography that was published not long ago-not the 1960 book.

I’ve not read it but it was released in 2015 and written by Ken Brooks, it gets good reviews

I have been away on an extenden holiday, so I dont know if this is still relevant. Quote from Ken Brooks book on Ingemar Johansson:
" In November 1964 the U.S. Federal Court of Appeals rejectec Ingemars claims that his Swiss citizenship exempted him from paying taxes on $ 1,5 million earned in 1960-61. During the period in question, the court claimed that he had only spent 79 days in Switzerland, compared to 120 days in Sweden and 218 in America. And the court didnt cotton to the corporation Ingemar set up - He was the sole employee - calling it a device used by Johansson to escape taxation. Not long thereafter, a court in Sweden ruled Ingemar had to pay taxes on the same amount there too."

Just recently stumbled across his auto-bio, interesting to read his take on the Sanders fight. Nice book.
