It´s a shame that Europeans meanwhile kiss the ass of Oscar Tortilla-Kournikova.

Yeah, what's your problem mate, Oscar is a modern great, a future hall of famer without a doubt. He has faced off against the best fighters of his era, which is more than can be said for the pampered fighters in Europe, and I am including British fighters in that statement too.

ODLTK is a showman and a shadowboxer. his tactic is to hammer like a raging bull into the opponents fists and the chicos and yanks go crazy. the bought judges love him, too. fornicate this kind of boxing. my meals of the last two days want to come out even if i see a picture of him. most overrated boxer of all times.

I guess it was hitting his opponents fists which saw him knock out so many of his opponents?
Admittedly, it's a while since he's looked devastating, not since the Vargas fight, but he's been fighting in the wrong weight divisions. He was never going to be a serious puncher above welterweight.
And how can you criticise him for 'flurrying' and be a fan of German boxing, loads of fighters over there just jab and fly round the ring.

come on james, be fair. Ottke was a devastating puncher in his prime.

in america the judges score fist hitting because it looks good. but normally it doesn´t count.
jabs that come into the opponent´s head or body does count that´s the difference.

mate you really are on a roll of utter bollox at the moment.
sorry but your talking shit, de la hoya been a great fighter and great servant of the game it also looks like he is gonna be a great promoter too, stop hating.
U just cant stand him thats apparent but try and detach yourself from the fact Sturm was robbed and appreciate the other things Oscar has given the game.

Yeah, how could anyone live up to the devastating punchers throughout german boxing, which is so exciting. Christ I lose the will to live whenever German fighters come on Eurosport.
Bubi, you're off your head mate. Only 8 opponents have lasted the distance with DLH, what happened to the other 29, were they given sleeping potion?

Well, according to Roger Tillerman, that's illegal.

i didn´t like him for a long time. the Sturm-fight was an example of a real american robbery because of money from the boxing mafia. there is a new latino boxing mafia with my special friend as head, walking in the footsteps of Don King. and everybody is talking about "all fights in Germany are roberies". That is just unfair and not correct. end of it.

Shit Gatti must have hit his own face then because he was pretty messed up and how can you critize Oscar when at least 5 of Ottke's decisions where wrong.

Why, because De La Hoya was awarded a very "German-like" decision against Felix Strum, so now the goat/bubi has a hard-on for De La Hoya and any other American!

Bubi - give it a rest mate. De la Hoya has fought everyone in and above his natural weight class. Without DLH, thee is a strong chance boxing would be a completely washed up sport in the US - his PPV's have been propping up the scene for years.
He is a fantastic fighter and a class act. The fight against Sturm was close - I was there, no commentary on TV telling me what to think and I had it 7-5 to ODLH. I've watched it a couple of times since and think 3 of the rounds are close and could have been given either way.
You obviously know a bit about boxing so don't understand why you make such ludicrous statements. If it is simply to get people to rise to the bait then you are doing yourself a disservice as people will think you are an idiot, if you actually believe them then perhaps you are.
No true boxing fan can fail to admire Oscar de LA Hoya.

That's a good point Loynesy, Bubi knows his Boxing so i don't understand why he makes these ludicrous statements sometimes

Back to the toppic rather than slagging off this iddiot, I think that Froch an Witter getting US exposiour is a really good thing. British Boxers need to show that kind of ambition to be ranked among those at the top of the sport and at least they will get hard fights and respect hopefully with big paydays rather than the medioca dross that comes from many in the Wank Farren stable.

my opinion regarding ODLTK will never change. he is overrated IMO and i hate his style. everybody here hates Ottke so i have the right to hate ODLTK.

Unlike Ottke, DLH fought against pretty much everyone there was out there, name 1 fighter that DLH ducked, I cannot think of any. And he did it without home advantage, as was perfectly shown in the 2nd fight with Mosley.
If Ottke had even half the balls Oscar had, I'd have admiration for him as a fighter, but Sven for me was just a protected fraud.
