Fury v Joshua has held up the entire HW division for over 5 years now.

Unfortunately we haven't seen the arrival of any brilliant new talent in that time either.

For the first time in history the HW scene is dominated by boxers in their mid 30s or beyond.

In fact, it's difficult to think of any top HW under the age of 25.

To me it's Spence vs Crawford. A true 50-50 fight. Any others I can think of are at least 60-40.

Mayweather-Pacquiao for me - it would have been so much better in 2010 than when we got it.

Spence-Crawford after that - it's the #1 fight I want to see now, though I favour Crawford.

Sugar Ray Robinson priced himself out of a rubber match with Carmen Basilio, much to Basilio's disgust. Robinson enjoyed squeezing promoters until their pips squeaked but he blew it this time.

At 22 he's young and confident but maybe not the fastest HW we've seen?


Anyway Pacquiao v Mayweather was another long overdue matchup, and then there was the shoulder injury controversy when it did finally happen.

Crawford v Spence is also a disgrace.

Just what does Crawford gain by not agreeing terms and waiting?

Time is not on his side.

GGG had to agree terms with Clenelo at 168lbs but it took the Bivol defeat to make the PED poster boy find his pen.

There was nothing left for Golovkin at that point, well nothing that paid as well.

Same for Canelo.

In the end it's always about the money, but these days boxers are using 'ageing out' as a bargaining tool.

Is anyone still fighting for glory, for legacy?

Doesn't look like it, boxing has only one living legend and that's Mike Tyson.

Before my time, but I believe Hagler v Leonard frustrated many ppl, including Hagler.

I used to salivate at the prospect of this fight and now it's getting to the point where I couldn't care less if they ever fought.

For me though it's gotten to where I not only don't care to see them fight. I don't care to see either of them fight at all against anybody. They're both irrelevant, and I want 'em out of the sport.

A fighter that don't fight is pointless. Like a painter that don't paint. A builder that don't build. A driver that don't drive. There's no point in paying these guys 1 more penny to fight anybody else or do anything else in Boxing. If they don't wanna fight each other. They're not worth 1 more second of anybody's time.

It is a shame, especially if one if them slips due to age. Then we will always wonder what could have been.
It has got to the stage with me that I won't pay for it. I'll just wait a bit longer, avoid spoilers, and watch it for free.
They have effectively priced me out if their market while squabbling over money like greedy piggies.
