While i want to see usyk take hrgovic to school, it will be a shame if this gets in the way of undisputed.

unification fights take precedence over mandatories, it wouldnt get in the way unless a contract was already signed for the fight

yes, but IBF is a bit of a beast though. It could definatly get in the way if theres uncertainty...
If the deal gets done clean and quick, this wont effect it at all. but if there fornicating around, and suddenly its looking like fury vs usyk "might" happen in june/july IBF could well make hrg fight for a vacant belt.

Trouble is though , how the hell can they trust that Fury will go through with the fight , he's likely to retire after Chisora , then in April say i was only kidding , and want to fight Dave Allen in July for a warm up before Wilder on Oct ,, they just got to carry on and ignore him , Fury does'nt need all the belts to state he's the undisputed ,, his familly , freinds and fans , just tell him he is

Yep, thats my fear as to why IBF might not wanna wait. If theres a contract for march id guess they let it go. but short of that there going to have big decisions to make.

Fury is a victim of his (often delusional) success .. nobody now trusts or believes him

Exactly, such mismatch can't take place infront of the undisputed opportunity. In addition to that, there're some more convincing contenders.

Joyce, much more proven, history, bigger fan base.
IF WBO ordered joyce, Id actualy be down for usyk just to make that. because i know both parties would get in there and do it.
I would never plan my carrer around fury at this point. If it happens, fun, if it dosent it dosent. Fury is too moody...

That gives Fury the perfect excuse not to fight Uysk. Hearn and Saurerland have obviously been busy working away behind the scenes..

If Fury wasn't showing such cowardice in making a fake defence of his title against Chisora, I'd give Fury fair dues for taking on decent a contender in Hrgovic....so I've certainly no issue with Usyk taking on Hrgovic as his first contender (AJ rematch aside). It's a lot more appealing than Fury v Chisora 3

Apparently in a situation like this, it would be usual practice for Uysk to be able to go to the IBF and request an extension to fight Fury first before taking on his mandatory.
However, because Hearn has requested purse bids immediately, under a technicality, that means that Uysk is not able to request a delay.
Therefore, between this mandatory manoeuvre and Fury not signing to box Uysk in February (instead chosing to box someone he has already beaten twice in December) means that Fury vs Uysk is dead in the water.

Geez. Hope that’s not the case. Perhaps the Saudis will be writing a cheque to Hrgovic to keep the undisputed.
Part of me thinks it’s stupid of the IBF to put themselves in this situation but I also kind of respect them enforcing their own rules.
Only in boxing.

Tyson has been posting videos again…. This time an instagram one showing a picture of him in Saudi in his WWE appearance and saying stuff like “big news coming” “the Saudi king” or something like that.

It’s tough to know what it means if anything. I’d be willing to bet he had a deal with WWE but it was cancelled when he couldn’t get into the US.
Perhaps he thinks they’re close to a deal with Usyk to fight in Saudi. Or perhaps he’s going to more active on social to push the Chisora fight. He seems to be doing a bit more promotion now
Hrgovic can really play hard ball with this. It looks like because the fight with Fury and Usyk isn’t signed and sealed, Usyk doesn’t have a way to avoid it other than paying up. It wouldn’t surprise me if Hrgovic gets something like $10m just to step aside.

I’d drop the title. It’s a gift for Hearn. Maybe a way back for AJ?
Ironically the only reason the IBF are so strict is because they were so corrupt.

Yeah. It’s a double edged sword. I’d rather the current ethics/rule enforcement of the IBF over the WBA but if it means there’s no undisputed then it’s a big shame.
I can’t see the Saudis being happy if it’s not for the undisputed. Who knows though.

Belts or not Usyk vs Fury would be undisputed.

The IBF could of called for the Mandatory after Usyk Joshua 2. Maybe they held off to allow time for the Undisputed to be made. Either way, all the belts are in the hands of 2 fighters, and so the Undisputed fight can still be made after Fury Chisora 3 & Usyk Hrgovic
