What UK fighters do you think will cone to prominence in 2023?

What fighters will sell out arenas in 2023 & 2024?

After a few years of UK Boxing doing extremely well, do we have strength in depth to carry on being one of the top countries?

The Conor Benn saga .. has it screwed Eddies legacy?

Some questions for you all to get your teeth into!!

I think if we took away the HWs we'd be in a fallow period now.

There's a lot of talent at 175 but the guys need to face one another. Can't talk about potential any more. Time to put the gloves on.

The Benn saga is not much of a big deal to me. Look how every Olympic athlete has TUEs for asthma etc... Drug use is rife across all sports. Ferdinand and Serena Williams ran away from drug tests. Didn't hurt them. People need to appreciate that the brandy they leave out on Christmas Eve is swigged by their old man.

Agree .heavyweight is keeping boxing alive ,

others not fighting each other will help kill it off , its not new , but just more prevelent nowadays , can't afford to lose the 0 can we

The Benn saga will not matter , alls he had to do was come out and admit it , If he came out with a statement such has SORRY , i let everyone down but honestly we all know them top flight yanks are at it and with the advantage they have not having the rigid testing we have , we work at a big disadvantage , i was wrong probably silly , but i really believed if i wanted to compete at the same level i would have to do it has well ,,, Once again i apolagise for the shame i brought on myself ,, my fantastic father and coach a my promoter and my country ,, please forgive me i was young and stupid

Thats something he will probably do , and the british will come out on the streets with there flags , singing rule brittania , its them dirty yanks fault , if them cheating bastards were not at it our Nigels boy would'nt of had too do it ,, 6 months Eddie would of been on IFL waiving a minature union jack and stating in there wisdom , , The bbbc have decided because they don't recognise VADA are only giving him a 6 months ban , time served ,, its on again in June this time with a 160 pound no hydration clause ..

Then again give it time could happen yet .

What UK fighters do you think will cone to prominence in 2023? Frazer Clarke could easily be one of the heavyweight hype trains come the end of 2023. Okolie and Buatsi could if they are scheduled with the correct opponents. Dubois if he can beat someone relevant. Galal Yafai if he carries at his current speed. Then the guys who will probably be ones to keep an eye on that that stage like Cheavon Clarke. Adeleye may be at that Dubois level (pre-Joyce) in a years time.

What fighters will sell out arenas in 2023 & 2024? Unlikely to be anybody new by then that can sell out an arena unless there's a deep card. I don't see any stadiums selling out for fights involving anyone but Fury and Joshua.

After a few years of UK Boxing doing extremely well, do we have strength in depth to carry on being one of the top countries? Yes, our depth in the up and coming heavyweights alone is enough to keep us competitive. It would, however, be beneficial to have someone in the mix around Welterweight or lightweight which have serious world level depth without Brits.

The Conor Benn saga .. has it screwed Eddies legacy? Domestically maybe but I see him moving more and more to an international style of promotion with DAZN. He will probably be focusing on "Superstars" and big money fights in the US, Middle East and occasional Stadium in the UK. Other than that I can see most of his domestic level guys going to Sky.

Some questions for you all to get your teeth into!!

Regarding the fighters who could sell out arenas, as long as they keep matching him soft, Nathan Heaney seems to have a decent following behind him. He reminds me a bit of Frank Buglioni in that he had a fairly sizeable following but once he'd been beaten a couple of times, they seemed to disappear.
Maybe Frank needs to cash in and get him headlining the Manchester Arena a couple of times before he inevitably gets chopped down.

Joe Joyce to win at least 1 HW belt in the next 2 years for sure .

Maybe Callum Smith at 175 will eventually come good .

Forgot about Smith. He is getting close to wasting his career away after great momentum.

I disagree about the HW era, I think that is coming to a close in the UK in the next two years.
In that time Tyson, Whyte and AJ will likely properly retire, Joyce will be almost 40, and if you hold any hope of The Eraser filling the void, he was gash last weekend. Seems 3 rounds is his cardio ceiling. Maybe DDD can fill the void, he is young enough.
Fisher is a ticket selling phenomenon, but I can't see him doing better than contender or Euro level, and fans are so fickle these days, maybe I'm wrong.

Last I saw was he was focusing on LHW Belts so maybe his best chance is to try and fight Bivol if he doesnt rematch Canelo .

Agreed ,,
Chisora good ticket seller but finished now ,,

Fury well he's due another retirement and a holiday on the coke , he'll take that if he fights Usyk and gets beat

Aj --- well even if he gets his head together , and a good trainer , manages to pull his carreer back , he still will not have long ,, hard to motivate yourself when you got 2-300 million and being guest of honor at Victotias secret fashion show ,

Joyce --- well he's just too old now and doubt he'll get his shot anyway ,, no way will Fury give him a shot when he could just have number 4 with Wilder ,

Okolie --- Mmmm got a feeling he's gonna end up living in Dubai or back in London an Imam , writing books and doing apperances telling the world how Hearn stuffed him because of new found religous beliefs ,, either that or he'll fight someone decent and get bowled over.

Yarde , ---- well say no more

Frazer ---- definetly not going on his last performance , i fell asleep ,

Taylor ---- Best days are well gone ,not likely to come back either lost all hope of that when he became a gym slut

Benn --- without the peds he's gonna get sparked and be irrelevent .

Eubank ,, well he's always good for entertainment , but getting too old now has well

Think that will do for now 2 maybee 3 years at most

Joe Joyce will actually cross over into a sell out fights next year.

I've enjoyed enough unearned luxury watching him live at the 02 and Wembley Arena, where I bought nosebleed seats but got upgraded to ringside, because nobody else cared. He's a legit contender now.

The Parker fight, his name in the mouth of AJ, Fury, Usyk, whether they're genuinely considering fighting him or not, and Simon Jordan's constant trumpeting of him, has elevated well beyond the status of a well kept secret. He's legit top 5 now. The casuals know him as a danger man.

Pair him with another name it will sell out.

If were talking the lower weights, Okolie looks like he'll be live dog in all the divisions he can fight in (Cruiserweight, Bridgerweight and, where I think he'll become unstuck, heavyweight).

Buatsi seems to have more about him than Yarde, although neither have done anything to suggest world class yet.

Nick Ball might, low key, be the best fighter we have outside heavyweight. Time will tell. I back the little fella.

Joyce possibly could but i doubt he will get the opportunity , think he's already someone most will avoid

Buatsi , Yarde , think you answered it yourself there , not world class , they may well be domestic but NOT international stars in the making
