It could be a nice matchup. Both can box and brawl. Fury edges in boxing, while Bowe's inside fighting seems to be better, although Fury could neutralize Bowe there with his dirty tricks. Overall, Fury gotta be more versatile, I'd pick him to secure a dec.

If Bowe comes in shape mentally and physically. I would pick Bowe by 10th round knock out.
Fury can be hurt and Bowe could be the one to hurt him

Like Tiny stated, if Bowe came in shape and mentally like in the first Holyfield fight he would find the way to out-jab the taller Fury and wearing him down with body shots and nailing him with heavy combination to either decision Fury or stop him late.

To the best version of Bowe, a very slight advantage. Like a close split decision.

This would be a great fight. In a trilogy, either would win one even if they lost the other two.
I would probably favour Fury to get the split 2-1, but not by much.
I am a big Bowe fan but I doubt he could bring H1 Bowe three times in a row.
In a singuar bout, absolute primes, I'd pick Bowe by decision.

If Fury fought at his absolute best, and took everything serious as a heart attack he could decision Bowe.
If he kinda played around, and show boated. He'd either get KO'd or lose enough rounds that he'd lose the fight.

Fury for me but it is via a hotly-contested SD....Tyson visits the deck a couple of times.....and a second, even third fight is very much needed to settle the debate.
Fury-Bowe feels like Fury-Wilder. They're well-matched and the fights are good.
Bowe had the heart, size, speed and punches to go at Fury but I just see him coming off second best by a fraction.
Peter Fury versus Rock Newman a nice appetizer, Newman hopefully ends up in Row Z

Bowe at his best would win easily. He was for a s few years almost as good as anyone. Had power, was fairly quick, a lot heart. Fought very well on the inside for a tall guy.

Fury would get into Bowe's head both prior and during the fight. Bowe wouldn't be able to handle it mentally. Fury, UD easily.

Don't really seeing Fury getting into his head. Never happened to him in real life. Fury is nuts but so is Bowe.

God can you imagine the beef between the 2 entourages here? Fury's Dad talking sh*t, Bowe's volatile team.
It'd be something else.

Bowe was mentally weak. See his interactions with Lewis. his lack of discipline. not too bright a bloke wither. and his brief prime. Easy pickings for the Gypsy King's head games.

Bowe wasn't mentally weak. Yes, he wasn't disciplined, but it wasn't possible to get under his skin mentally. Not sure, how the Lewis interactions proved anything, since those were only interactions. Bowe had a fun pre-stuff beef with Gonzalez, so he could do it. Only Golota seemed to get under his skin, after he kicked his butt in the first fight. His pre-fight stuff vs Fury would be similar to the one before the 1st Wilder stuff, there would be a non-stop sh1tting on each other. Wilder reminds Bowe actually, his style is about the same thug-like, while Fury got under Wilder's skin only after he outboxed him and took his best shots.

Fury did get under Wilder's skin prior to the first fight. He had Wilder shutting down at pressers. Not worth debating about as nothing is proven I guess.

Of course, Fury looked better in all their verbal exchanges, but at first Wilder probably didn't give much sh1t about it and believed in his KO opportunity. A clear indication of his mental breakdown caame after the 2nd fight, when those horrible excuses started, when he began to avoid verbal stuff with headphones.

Before Bruno, the rapist would be too much for Bowe. Either Tyson's punches put Bowe into defensive mode or Riddick takes a beating a bit like Pinklon Thomas. Tyson from Bruno onwards is behind on the cards and looking to land something big.

When did Bowe ever seem to look bad because of an opponent's head games?
Never saw that happen to Bowe in a fight. Not sure what his interactions with Lewis has anything to do with anything. He nver even fought Lewis in the pros.
That is really a lot to bank on. Certainly, wouldn't count on it.

I would have liked to see how Bowe got along fighting outside the US in this mythical - maybe taking on Fury on neutral turf - that would have been a very good acid test. Riddick only fought once outside the US a pro, his very last fight.
Perhaps a fight in Canada or Monaco would have been a good venue for a match-up where both men had to travel?
Fury does travel well I think, he deliberately 'takes it' to the other bloke's backyard in terms of attitude and being prepared. He used to go into camp in France and Belgium as well which worked for a while.
Tyson and his Uncle did mess up that whole German "machine defence in a stadium system" when he fought Wlad.
Some of it was pure histrionics, especially those properly bonkers press conferences, but the Fury's did also make a total nuisance of themselves in the immediate build-up to the actual fight.
That cussedness, we're not here to make up the numbers approach, was a useful attribute.
They kicked back on a lot of things and plain refused to allow some of the 'givens' the K brothers had always liked to impose on other opponents. I don't think this stuff beat Wlad before he got to the ring, but it took them out of their stride.
Having made those points, I think Bowe and Newman were far from daft when stuff got deadly serious. They'd surely be prepared for Fury and would recognise that being in tip-top shape was a priority and that a fight plan was needed.
