https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/63793018 . If this is accurate, not good at all. And the interview seems to have been on the WBC website since 6 October but they have only recently announced an investigation. Hmm.

Really bizarre interview where he completely destroys his own self character and integrity deliberately corrupting Husseins fight with Manny.
Even more bizarre he is chuckling while recounting the event like he has done something he finds clever and is still amused by.
On review his claims all appear to be supported by the fight replay.

Let’s be honest, this sort of thing happens week in, week out in boxing. Lots of other sports too. Anyone who really believes professional sports are free from corruption and bias is naive at best.
Good to see an official admitting it, at least.

I hate what you're saying.
I'm not naive - cos obvs it does happen, and happen a lot in boxing especially - but I
want to be naive.
We
should expect a level playing field and it
should be disgusting and we
shouldn't be grateful that he's laughing while admitting it years later.
And it shouldn't be naive "at best" either - like wanting things to be fair could even be bad ?
I'd like some compensation, day in court etc. but that really is naive.
