I
Many people still don't understand how effective Joes style was and how adaptive he would be if plan A or N wouldn't work

Yeah no one else grasped how effective the undefeated, two weight champ HOFer Calzaghe was. Good one.

Apart from the ones who thought Froch was better, and I'm looking at Jeff Thomas who picked lacy to win, don't feel bad, Manny Stewart picked Lac.y and Kessler to win

Loads of writers had Lacy to win. Boxing News thought he’d be too powerful and get the stoppage eventually I seem to recall. Nobody has stopped Robin Reid before.

Think 30 out of 32 had Lacy winning

Easy to forget how poor Calzaghe had been looking prior to the Lacy fight though. He struggled past completely unknown Salem in a terrible fight, and had to box one-handed for about 11 rounds against Ashira. There was a big argument to suggest he was over the hill, especially with all his injuries and pull-outs.

Calzaghe - Ashira was the only fight i have walked out before the main event finished. 10 rounds in. was so dull.

Evans Ashira. Totally forgotten guy really but his record is okay. Caught Howard Eastman heading over the hill a few fights later and only lost the 12 rounder by around 3 rounds.

Think Ashira beat Lacy in the ams ? Calzaghes hand could barely be pulled out of his glove after that fight it had swollen so bad
