Question: How does Ajagba scoring a boring decision over Shaw affect our top 15 rankings?

I already had the thread ready to post before the fight.
So I’m just posting it.
Can use it to discuss the rest of the HW division also.
I say he stays out. It’s a good win for his record.
I reckon Shaw could have won, but it wasn’t an impressive win.

I noticed also that Wallin is no longer scheduled to fight in Jan.
He’s getting close to being inactive. He’s already very annoying.
Unless, maybe he has the AJ fight in the bag.

Efe is a knockout waiting to happen. He got to a point and once he stepped up, he got exposed. Anyone with decent boxing skills will have their way with him. He's a disappointment. I had pretty decent hopes for him several years ago and he's gone nowhere.

I thought AJagba was going to be a contender. He look gun shy and timid in the ring anymore.
I doubt he ever amounts to a real contender

Efe is a C rate Wilder and minus the power as well.
He wasn’t really ever that good was he?
He’s lucky Harper walked out on him, because that’s mostly what pit Efe’s name out there.
I probably wouldn’t even rank him 16-20. Not even 16-25.

Totally agree. Even Shaw had him stiffen in their fight.
It was a lackluster win by Efe, I would put money on Jared Anderson stopping him right now.
He learned nothing from his loss to Sanchez. Still stiff, still no head movement, still can't fight on the back foot.
I don't even think it will be much of a feather in the cap of the guy who beats him. Well not on my card at least.

If he enters at #14, Hrg moves to #15 and Chizzy is out.

I don’t think he is a top 15 tallent but it’s a decent current win so I vote him in.
Win over Shaw, rice and demi is somehow a solid resume these days haha.

Even Boxtune gave up on him

And what about you Oogs?
Wasn't that the most boring 50/50 heavyweight fight you've seen in years?

To be honest. I fell asleep early mid rounds, so yeah.

Really thought Efe and Shaw would've had a slugfest. Maybe just being hopeful.

First ‘major’ fight to kick off the new year and it was a bore fest.

Out obviously. Shaw wasn't close to the top.

This one could say a lot despite the winner unlikely entering the top 15. If Takam wins then you have to give more credit to Makhmudov and less credit to Bakole, whereas, if Yoka wins then Bakole gets more credit and Makhmudov gets less.

This fight will say absolutely
nothing .
Takem is 42 (fourty two) years old and has 567,000 miles on the clock.
He shouldn't even be granted a licence for his own safety.
This is a terrible miss match.

oh behave kiwi my man, takam showed he's still respectable vs mak. ya it wouldnt be a great win for yoka, but it's hardly a fight that shouldnt be sanctioned

You know I hate to see 40+ year old guys fighting, especially heavyweights. The science backs me up.

Would love takem to get it done. But if a beast still hit Jessie Christ he is taking tough fights… Joyce, mak, yoka would be one of the toughest 3 fight streaks anyones had in years (for zero world title belts on the line).

BoxRec put Efe up to 15. I think the algorithm is broken.

A wins a win.
But he was #32 before the fight. Big jump.
