I have lost count of the number of times an ex-pro has tried to get a Union off the ground.

For some reason they just don’t hold.

I guess it needs a unified approached - and there isn’t much unity in boxing!

That guy Paddy is proper tool. He got a gift in his last fight.

He'll disappear soon hopefully

Does love his Gran though, hates the Tories, hates the Sun Newspaper, cares more, sticks together, been a victim multiple times and is funnier than everyone else, so you gotta cut him some slack

Not at all mate as Ariel said "you say flick the Tories but you sit defending this man who, if he was from England, would be a Tory"
And he means defending him for Tory "free market" practices

I tried to sit through that, I really did but I couldn't.

I didn't get them talking about a fighters union but its never going to exist successfully in boxing. Possibly in the UFC as that's one organisation but if the idea was to include all MMA then that won't work either.
Boxing is thousands of sole traders all running their own business, its not the right set up for a union to ever really work.

Paddy took a pay cut to join UFC.
He also got a platform to show his skills and personality to the world. He’s set for life now. Wouldn’t have been if he stayed in Cage Warriors. He also got $150k in bonuses from his first 3 fights.

He has also just done 'Tony Bellew Is Angry' on BBC Sounds. He said he bought a house and paid off his mams mortgage with the purses from his last three pre UFC fights.

Judging by the face value tickets for UFC286 London, they should all be on millions.

Unless ALMOST paid off already then he is fibbing or that’s not what was said.
Andrew Tate has said that he was getting £100k per contest for full contact kick boxing - that is a massive lie.
People are really odd sometimes when they talk about money.

That's a good listen. Paul sounds like he's really mellowed out and is having a good retirement. I remember watching him in that contender series. He got cut quite badly
