Conn could give Foster problems, but Foster would score a kayo evenually.

Billy Conn, as great that he was, was o match for the great Bob Foster. Foster beats him every day of the year.

I might be a bit biased because my grandfather during World War II had an exhibition match with Billy Conn

but, the man was one of the greatest middleweights of all time without winning that particular title and he became one of the top five light heavyweights of all time. Furthermore he had far greater success at heavyweight than Bob Foster ever did.
I am going to say that Billy Conn wins a decision and I'm basing this primarily on Bob Foster's fight of the year contest with Chris Finnegan who was considered slippery as an eel but was nowhere near as slippery or elusive as Billy Conn. Foster got Finnegan out of there in the 14th round but I tend to think Billy Conn would have went the 15 round distance and edged out a decision.

Conn would have his moment by out-boxing the taller Foster behind his speedy jabs and combinations in the early rounds, but Foster would figure out his way by jabbing more on Conn's face in the mid to later rounds, then he would set him up with good right hands and left hooks to either take a decision or stopping him late.

I also see Conn giving Foster problems but Bob would put Billy in his place around the 11th.

This is a particularly interesting matchup. Conn was a great boxer and I could see him winning a decision. He would have to get in and out a lot. Hard to tell how effective Foster would be with his jab. Conn idid have a good chin; it would not be easy for foster to stop him.
This might be a situation where if they fought multiple times, we would see varying results; if they fought three times, Foster's might win by Ko once, by decision once, and Conn winning by decision. (Can't see Conn winning by ko).

This would be a great, great matchup. Conn is a slick, quick fighter. Bob is a sharp, precise boxer puncher. Conn if he fought the right fight getting in and out could pile up some rounds. Bob's jab would be doing it's share of damage through the fight, and of course he'd be getting in power shots when he can.
I think we have any number of possibilities here. The consensus seems to be that it's either Conn by Decision or Foster by KO, but I think we could get any result here to be honest. Conn by TKO on cuts or Foster by decision while less likely aren't out of the question, neither is a Draw.
I think this not only would've been a great fight, but a great rivalry.
I feel like the rivalry would begin to favor Foster more after multiple fights, but I could see Conn taking a decision in their 1st meeting.

Bob Foster had a faster jab and was more mobile than the great Joe Louis. Billy Conn ain't hurting Foster.
Two great fighters. But, to me, Foster wins 100 out of 100.
