See Taylor is apparantly giving the remattch a miss and fighting Lopez ,, what a dick , thats Boxing , feel for Catteral

That's rubbish news for Catteral. He was totally ripped off in their fight and I was quite shocked that Taylor didn't acknowledge that he lost.

I give Taylor a pass on not rematching Catteral right away. He’s fought a real line up of stone cold killers over the last 4 Years, fighting in the other guys backyard w all the nightmare covid stuff making it even worse… Jack is a deadly dull boy, in and out of the ring, give him a vacant shot and see how he gets on ( and if anyone watches ). He had an off night, taking on a bad ass like Teo Lopez is just the sort of box office fights he needs

He’s every right to be bitter for the rest of his days. Should have been the undisputed champ and got rug pulled. Taylor is a grad a chump. Great boxer but a terrible human.

Cat has every right to be pissed off.

Lopez vs Taylor is a crazy fight, love to see it.

How anyone can begrudge caterall after that robbery I’ll never understand. If Taylor avoids him he will tarnish his amazing legacy forever and it’s all anyone will talk about within 4 sentences of his name being brought up

lopez-taylor is a very good fight, clearly cat deserves some type of justice though

It’s truely amazing how fucked catteral got here.

Shit cards have cost him millllions and a spot in the history books.

He wasn't robbed though. He fights in such a negative way that he lost most of the 2nd half of the fight. Sorry but such a negative fighter won't be getting sympathy from me.

no way did josh win 7 rounds in that fight, got utterly clowned for about the first 8 and dropped, catt was negative, but you only have to do better than your opponent in more rounds. if we call catt negative, what was josh? just plain ol sh!t?

taylor could hardly land a clean shot all night. even rounds where cat took his foot off the gas his shots were better

tbf to josh, lopez aint a bad fight at all, quite the contrary. josh would be going back in tough but it will still suck if cat doesn't get his rematch. i get the feeling that taylor might have a hatton-witter type grudge against catt now

He threw it away in the last 4. As the challenger, judges wouldn’t have liked him going into his shell for the last third of a world title fight.

when you clown a guy and drop him over the first 8, you shouldnt lose for being less active in the last 4. the fight was 12 rounds after all!

anyone who has that for josh is giving him waay too much credit and scoring all the wrong things. he hardly landed a clean shot and was walking into punches all night, getting his head snapped back, getting marked up, getting hurt and dropped, landing far less. compubox had cat outlanding him in 11 of 12 rounds and that didnt seem far off to me.

for cat's output slowing in the last 4, there's taylor being lit up and handily outboxed over the first 8. even the closing rounds were close and hardly blowouts for taylor, he could still barely land a clean shot and missed constantly, was befuddled just by cat bending over. you cant reduce scoring a fight to just the last rounds.

giving josh 7 rounds is incomprehensible to me, it's like scoring for williams over lara. the outrage was 100 percent deserved

I was a Taylor fan going into the fight, and now I hope he loses, and I don't even care who it is to.
He has d*cked Catterall around for almost a year now. Every excuse in the book. He lost, everyone that saw the fight not on his payroll says he lost. And yet he still won't man up and give Catterall another chance.

yeah I'm ambivalent about this, ducking the Cat is bad but a high-profile big $$$ fight against someone in Lopez whose recent fights suggest is maybe more beatable than his rep suggests? that sounds like great business, to me.

Wouldn't say Catterall threw aware the last few round, Taylor did come on strong, but that shouldn't decrease what Catterall did the previous rounds.

They say, 'a challenger should TAKE the belts off the champion' .. and IMO, he absolutely did that.

When the vast majority of the public had Catterall winning, then that's saying something. The minority don't matter.
