The greatest offense of all-time at 140lbs versus the greatest defense of all-time at that same weight class.
Nicolino Locche would give Aaron Pryor fits. Pryor would be throwing all kinds of combinations and the majority, yes, the majority would miss and very often.
That Locche at his best was one of a kind. He makes a fool of yourself if you challenge him on that ring.
Locche on points for me. He was a sensational fighter that never got the credit that he deserved. He's truly one of the greatest defensive boxers in boxing history. He was that good.

While everything that Elmer said about Locche's defense is true. It's also true that offensively he often did just enough to win relying almost exclusively on his defense to get him the W.
I suspect against Pryor. Even if he's able to make Pryor miss with a sh*t load of shots. Is Locche gonna answer back with enough offense of his own to make up for the fact that Pryor is making the fight?
The way I score it. If a guy is throwing 30 punches, and hitting your arms with all but 2 of 'em. He's still doing more than you if you're entirely on the defensive.
Defense is a hugely critical part of the game, but defense alone ain't gonna win you the fight. Locche I don't think has the offense he's gonna need to beat Pryor.
Locche's defense allows him to last the distance, but when the decision is announced. It's coming up Hawk Time.

Same. Pryor would be throwing and missing a lot, but he'd connect enough to take the decision and wouldn't be bothered by anything Locche threw

Locche would have his moments early by outboxing Pryor with jabs and counters at long range, but the Hawk would figure out by swarming all over Locche with good heavy punches to take a decision.

Not if the fight is in Argentina. Louche wins or is a draw.

Pryor by UD as long as it is not in Buenos Aires. If that is the case, Locche by UD.
