I pick Lyle because, in my opinion, he was better, more savvy fighter than Smith. Most likely it goes the distance, with Lyle winning by a clear (possibly wide) margin.

I am assuming both guys fight their best, in their respective primes, BTW.

Two big strong guys, who could fight and would make it intense against each other. I see it as a pretty even machup.

Lyle would get the better of Bonecrusher behind his better jabs, right hands and combinations to take a decision in both 12 and 15 rounds. Bonecrusher would have the puncher's chance to put Lyle out in the later rounds at least.
