Ricky Burns f!<ing chin

He showed his heart time and time again, and his chin, but around the time his offense got a bit predictable he got matched up with an eclectic group of killers

Jose A Gonzalez didn't have the heart, but he was a huge puncher, some of the shots he hit Burns with would have had many fighters down and out

But this round stands out, some of these shots were sickening looking

Fights like this made him one of my favourite fighters. That Martinez fight was unbelievable.

He showed real balls in the Carl Johanssen fight too. Amazing what he went on to achieve after that one.

Met him at what I guess now was the breakthrough win against Graham Earl.
A car full of us had travelled up for a mate on the undercard - spoke to him briefly before the fight. Definitely a surprise to have seen what he later achieved .. it's not often good guys get the luck :bow:

Too good a chin and too many fights, Ricky should retire, he needs looking after, too brave for his own good,
