Fury vs Joyce

This seems an obvious fight to make. And a really good one. It would be a belter, in fact.
They both have the same promoter so should be straightforward to put together.
However, Big John Fury has said it would be a meaningless fight and he has no interest in seeing it.

There really is little point in starting any Fury thread right now. All you will get is pages of how he is scared of his own shadow….

I understand that, but I do genuinely think this would be a corker of a fight. And I hope it happens.

He's clearly after big reward for little risk, Joyce is the polar opposite, won't happen. I think if AJ wins tonight, that'll be his next fight.

I think if he doesn't box anyone decent next, he might as well retire as I doubt people would tune in.
Fingers crossed that the backlash to the Uysk fight falling through serves as a rude awakening for him, and spurs him into action.

Usyk`s promoter recently gave the Usyks camp opinion that Joyce would be more difficult than Fury ... I can imagine the Fury camp thinking Joyce would be more difficult than Usyk too ... so thats why Fury will duck this one too.
I too think he calls a retirement .. (not a legit one, but one to enable him to sit out this year)

Not that fury would care for my opinion but if this fight got made I’d give give him a pass for the Usyk fight

As long as Anthony Joshua is always on the table, or Andy Ruiz, or Oleksandr Usyk there is no point in doing a fight with Joe Joyce. As much as I love Tyson Fury everything since Deontay Wilder has been a disapointment. How a career could be so high and go so low in a matter of a year is pretty astounding. Fury needs those three matches, everything else would just be a major distraction that nobody wants.

I think Fury wins by decision, he's bad stylistically for Joyce, very mobile, quick hands and a good boxing brain. 12 round win for Fury most likely, but he could get a stoppage if Joyce was seen to be shipping too many punches.
Although Joyce is technically much better than Wilder, I think Wilders unorthodoxy actually gave Fury more problems, becuase of the way he wings his shots.
I'd definitely want to watch it though.

Unfortunately Tyson Fury can't fight in America otherwise I'm pretty sure he would have been fighting Andy Ruiz by now because cinco DE Mayo is around the corner.
Fighting a man who was at 1 point the unified champion and bowled over Joshua might not be a big fight in comparison to undisputed or even with Joshua but it would still be a big fight. Joe Joyce would only be big in the United Kingdom.
