Condolences to his family and friends. If any champion ever merited a rematch it was Buchanan; his record following the Duran bout was terrific.

He was very much before my time, but from what I have read he was not only an exceptional fighter, but a genuinely top bloke as well.

I grew up hearing how brilliant he was. Unfortunately I only became aware of him in real life after his loss to Charlie Nash, well after his prime.
