He had a few good rounds and won one or two of them but Thompson stayed in control despite shipping shots. But he seemed to be more durable than Watkins and far more durable than I gave him credit for having obviously bet on Watkins. I thought he would unfold taking the shots he did.

Nice job from Thompson.

A lot to work on with Jordan Thompson - he got hit a lot and made to look poor at times by "The Duke" - but a lot of potential too...
He's big, long and difficult with power.

I caved and signed up for the annual pass today.

If this is a sign of things to come i won't be complaining. 3 good competitive fights tonight on paper.

I thought Watkins looked the better boxer in spells there, but it always looked like Thompson's size and power would be the telling factor

Fully agree. It’s a shame he’s not younger so I’d imagine they’ll try and rush him a little.
