it was a cracked solar plexus. tank smashed it into a million pieces. everybody with a clue knows you can't continue with a broken solar plexus.

I've read fighters rarely go in 100%. If there was a real injury here, how much did it matter is anyone's guess.
I've lost track of the times when a fighter says before the fight they never felt better but if they lose, they then remember an injury.

The more interesting part is that tank supposedly got it leaked to him. It’s sad but these days Big camps like this probably require non disclosure agreements for anyone present at sparing ect.

The only thing that was injured was Garcia's ego.
Fair play to him, he didn't offer any BS excuses and has been classy in defeat.

they're sportsmen, my guess is most sportsmen have semi-permanent injury problems to the point where 'managing injuries' may be, along with 'mental approach and toughness', the most underrated aspect of a fighter's makeup (in the eyes of fans anyway).

I don't think any boxer is ever 100% before they fight.
Despite them saying they had a good camp etc..
There's always gonna be some nagging injuries, might be a finger, elbow, knee etc etc..
List goes on.
Many boxers that win have injuries too.. but they don't say anything afterwards, well most don't anyway because it's pointless, they already won.

Easy to act Classy in defeat if you're firstly/first and foremost "Glad in Defeat", due to making that "Nice Big Fat Portly Paycheck".
On Ryan's behalf, I don't particularly doubt that he was softened up prior to the bout versus Tank.
As in, being the recipient of an unfortunate sparring blunder leading to an injury.
Certainly was weakened by the rehydration clause.
Of course he wasn't going to point out those specifics before having that BIG Money bout.
Who does and who would...?!
The only boxer that I've ever heard of who talked doubtfully about himself pre-bout was "Gerrie Coetzee"(I don't have much confidence in my abilities). And "Tim Tomosheck"(Hi Everybody !!!

) was the most gracious in defeat boxer that I ever saw.
