Holmes vs Shavers 2 - Do you think it was a knockdown?

At the end of the 9th Shavers dropped Holmes with an overhand right that the ref ruled a slip, looks like legit KD to me, you? This is the same fight that Shavers poleaxed Holmes in the 7th and looked like he had him out. Holmes eventually stops Shavers in the 11th

There was a one that should have been scored a knockdown and wasn't Holmes wasn't hurt on that one though.

Holmes had thrown himself off-balance when it landed.
Holmes almost was going down a few seconds earlier by himself from the same motion. of throwing a left hook type of punch

I say a knockdown...not to say Holmes was hurt but the punch sent him over...

Yeah. Landed a punch; caused a kd. Doesn't matter if the other fighter was hurt or just off balance. It is what it it. Didn't matter at the end though, did it.

sheeyatt, should call that a "Slip-Down" and worth only "half-a-point at the most.
a real Knock-down would be Cooper vrs Clay 1963, or Frazier vrs Ali 1971.
