Would Weaver overcome the slick southpaw style of Byrd by outhustling him off the ropes with jabs and body shots along with big left-right on the head to take a decision or would Byrd outbox Weaver behind his southpaw jabs and counter combinations on the outside to take a decision? What do you guys think and who do you got?

This fight was actually offered to Weaver by USA Tuesday night fights-he was only offered 10 grand and wanted 30. He told me he would have lost every round to Byrd. Of course, this was when Weaver was well into his 40's. However, I'd still expect a peak Weaver to lose a decision to Byrd.

i agree, byrd is a bad matchup for weaver

As much as I like Mike "Hercules" Weaver, I've got to go with Byrd. Hercules couldn't lay a glove on him.
