Joey Maxim said Patterson was a par with Lloyd Marshall skill wise but Marshall was smarter; using that as a guide I go with Bivins-by decision.

I'm sorry I had to laugh at the comment by Maxim. You are talking about a 13 fight novice who was 19 years old. Patterson had not even come close to his peak.
I pick Patterson by wide decision

Bivins would give the 19 year old Patterson a tough fight, but Patterson would use his fast combinations with speed and power to take a decision.
