This is a really good matchup Pavlik definitely was capable of knocking out Benvenuti, and Nino was definitely capable of outboxing Kelly.

I'd have to favor Nino just because he was the more consistent fighter for a longer period of time. If it's a Pavlik that's anywhere near his best though I can't see this being an easy night for Nino.

Benvenuti would outbox Pavlik to make him look like a ghost behind his jabs and long range combinations take a decision in a classic 15 rounder in the close fight in Ohio and again a unanimous decision in Rome, Italy.

These are two different levels of fighters. Benvenuti would probably win a lopsided decision.
