What was Tyson Fury really in Australia for?

Tyson Fury said he had promised Joseph Parker that if Parker ever fought in Australia he would fly down and watch the fight. From all reports and appearances Fury and Parker are great mates and Fury recently said 'Joe is like a brother to me.' It was also obvious they are close by the way Fury enthusiastically congratulated Parker after his KO win.
But there is also talk Fury is planning on fighting in Australia and Fury said he is 'here to look at some potential venues.'
Is Fury just winding the media and the public up?
Was another reason for Fury's visit to test whether the Australian government would let him into the country. The US reputedly won't let him enter over there.
Also, Australian heavyweight Dempsay McKean's manager, Angelo Di Carlo, claims they are in talks with Fury over a possible Fury-McKean fight in Queensland (Aust) and that the Queensland government are being courted to help support the fight - much like they did with the Pacquiao-Horn fight.
Just to further confuse things, Di Carlo says they are expecting to receive a contract in the next 48 hours for McKean to fight Fillip Hrgovic.

Looking at the most recent WBC rankings I could find - April 14th - Dempsay McKean is ranked a lowly #36.
Interestingly, Joseph Parker is WBC #10.
I would have thought Fury-Parker would have much more appeal than Fury-McKean and McKean just doesn't have the WBC ranking - even though the IBF and WBO have McKean on the fringe of their top 10s.
I believe Fury has sparred Parker but would two guys who get on so well and Fury says are 'like brothers', actually fight?

Rankings don’t matter.
If he announces a fight with McKean, then expect him to just fall into the top 15 next month.

The WBC rankings are due for an update and it will be interesting to see if McKean suddenly climbs their ladder for no good reason. But perhaps McKean will fight Hrgovic and a fight with Fury is conditional on him beating Hrgovic? A win there would sure do his ranking a favour.

I don’t think anybody in their right mind wants to watch Parker and Fury in a ring, it will be a glorified spar. Like the Chisora joke fight it will probably happen though.

Just read Fury, after being asked after the fight if he would fight Parker, responded :
“Definitely not. No. I’d rather give him the belt than fight him for it. We’re too close for that fight, and there’s plenty of heavyweights out there.”
So I guess that puts pay to the possibility of Fury-Parker.

Fury's wife wasn't sighted anywhere. They have 6 kids too and I doubt it would have been worth the mucking around for a short visit.
Andy Lee was asked about Fury fighting in Australia and he said he didn't see it happening.

There is so much speculation at present regarding who Fury's next opponent with be.
It is Usyk in the UK. Then it is a list of other possibilities. Then it is Usyk in December in Saudi Arabia.
Now that Fury has visited Australia, it is suddenly McKean and now we are hearing a match up with Opetaia is all but signed.
