Lanier Daniels vs Alrie Meleisea: IBF World Heavyweight Title.27/05/2023. NZ

Post by damage »

These two women have 19 bouts between them both but not one single stoppage
This is quite a shocking statistic for heavyweights although the 2 minute rounds don't help.
Why don't the women boxers seem to have any power or can they all just take a punch really well?

One of the reasons why there are 2 minute rounds is because the sanctioning bodies don't believe that women can take a punch as well as men. However, they are not considering that women generally don't punch as hard as men. The results are in for this fight. Lani Daniels won by unanimous decision (99-91, 98-92, 98-92) over Alrie Meleisea.
