Great career. Should have had a few more in the win column.

Wins over Alex Dickinson (10-0), Nick Webb (13-1) and Sean Turner (10-0). Then in a just world he could easily have wins over David Adeleye (4-0), Lucas Browne (27-1) and Marcin Siwy (25-0). He's also taken a who's who of European boxing to points.

We do put him on a pedestal in the forum but he's probably taught many of the up and coming European heavyweights more over a few rounds than any other journeymen before they get to the higher level.

Happy retirement Soko, you more than earned it

Good for him, bad for boxing, he really is the perfect step up gatekeeper.

Fisher, Moses, and many more to follow will really miss getting soko as a middle level opponent.

Dude was tough as iron. One of the last of a true gatekeeper type.

Solid guy and a credit to the sport. Hope he made enough cash to buy at least 2 or 3 gaffs and he’s mortgage free with capital in the bank

Dunno the cost of a house in Poland but don't over estimate how much fighters earn, even heavyweights

Prob earned about 200k over 10 years.

If boxing was his full time job it would have been a living.

If he had a job and stuck his 200k into polish houses he may well have a few, an income and appreciating assets.

you think he'd be taking home 5k a fight after taxes and paying dudes off? i find that unlikely, even more unlikely that every bit of it would've been invested wisely (because that's just not what most people do)

although i did forget that seemingly every british /british based boxer is a property tycoon these days, must be something about being punched in the head that makes them all so good with it

if soko has earned several properties out of boxing by the age of 36, hell good on him.

Everyone knows he beat Adeleye but i thought he beat Lucas Browne and was close with big David Price too.

Always thought it was a shame he never got to fight Dave Allen tbh.

Haven’t seen the Price fight but that’s interesting given he lost 60-54.

Also shows the level of confidence in Price’s stamina that it was a 6 rounder.

I think he’s a very good yard stick for the most part. Nathan Gorman early in his career was a very good prospect and it showed as he stopped Soko but after that he didn’t kick on. You heard him mention Soko in interviews as well as if sub consciously in his head he had an edge over Dave Allen and Dubois because they never fought Soko.

I obviously mentioned Price only going 6 with Soko and the other way I thought it showed a set of nuts from Sol Dacres to box Soko over 8 in his 3rd fight. Other than the really experienced guys 10-0+ who fought him I thought Dacres did one of the most convincing jobs on him in Sokolowski’s last 2-3 years as a pro.

I feel for Soko. He knew his job but getting robbed on so many occasions has to have left some bitterness. The Adeleye fight was the most recent robbery. He clearly won 5 rounds out of the 6 and I gave him all 6 myself. With Marcus McDonnell the sole judge of the fight, I was happy to unload as much as I could on Adeleye getting the robbery and McDonnell did what he has done on so many occasions. I felt bad for Soko but any time I have a chance to bet on that situation with those odds and Marcus McDonnell scoring, I know where my money is going. It doesn't matter how clearly Soko won the fight.

You can buy an apartment in his hometown starting around EUR 65k (

it's funny when fanbois of one fighter will ignore their own boi's cheating, but get so giddy and righteous about other fighters being caught

George Fox hasn’t fought since a close and controversial points loss to Sokolowski. I’d say if my memory serves me correctly most of us had Fox just winning that one but we were quite happy for Soko to get the win because he’d been dry buggered on a few other results.

i had fox winning the first 3, then he gassed and hardly did anything the rest of the fight, so i had soko winning. but the score was something like 79-74, which was really surprising. i had thought fox would get it 77-76 or it would be a draw

fox talented (quick hands for a big guy) but laaazy and out of shape
