Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado) often espouses Christian nationalist views — and she hasn't hesitated to attack Democrats as anti-family, anti-religion and anti-motherhood.

But according to reporting in the Denver Post, Boebert was kicked out of a Beetlejuice performance at Denver's Buell Theater on Sunday, September 10. And a new report reveals she was asked to leave after she refused to quit vaping near a pregnant woman.

The Post reports that three attendees, including the woman, complained about Boebert. The woman alleged that when she asked the MAGA congresswoman to quit vaping, she refused. Boebert's office has denied that allegation.

HuffPost's Josephine Harvey notes, "The woman, who said she did not recognize Boebert, told the Post she asked the lawmaker to stop vaping, but the congresswoman simply said 'no.' She said Boebert was singing along loudly with her hands in the air and took multiple long videos during the first half of the performance. The woman made a complaint during intermission. When she returned to her seat with her husband, Boebert called her a 'sad and miserable person,' she said."

worse yet, he owns a bar which runs LGBT and drag nights

Boebert’s companion during video footage of her being kicked out of Broadway’s traveling Beetlejuice show. The MAGA congresswoman was holding hands with a man that was revealed by the Daily Mail to be Quinn Gallagher, who is not only a bartender and co-owner of Hooch Craft Cocktail bar but also apparently a Democrat. Not only that, but MeidasTouch did some more legwork, which reflects interestingly upon a 2022 Boebert tweet: “Take your children to CHURCH, not drag bars.”

MeidasTouch reports that Hooch, which is located in Aspen, Colorado, regularly participates in the city’s annual Gay Ski Week festivities. You can see a purported flyer for the event here for this year’s “A Winter Wonderland Burlesque and Drag Show.” As Meidas Touch further notes and illustrates, “Dances and other performances were captured by those in attendance.”

Boebert has yet to comment on Bar Guy on Twitter (she has been trashing Bidenomics today), but just FYI, Hooch is listed on the roster for 2024’s Aspen Gay Ski Week. The bar will host a Women’s Cocktail Reception with the following description:

Cocktails & Nibbles – Join us for a fun party starting at 5:30 on Thursday night. We will be serving up a selection of complimentary cocktails and appetizers. This is a great chance to meet with old friends and maybe meet that new special someone.

That would be a cool beat if you were a reporter I would think: following and writing full-time about the dumbest, rudest, hottest redneck in Congress. You'd have a national audience because every American loves to read about people like her. It would be like having a "reality" TV show "Amazing Housewives of Arkansas" (she really should be from Arkansas or one of the Dakotas because there is a special brand of stupid there. I actually like Colorado a lot)

Yeah, the impeachment bit is a game of false equivalents. I disagreed with the Russia interference impeachment (and said so at the time). Not because it wasn't possible that it happened, but because IMO you don't impeach a president on something like that unless you catch him rehanded, and IMO they didn't. The second one for Jan. 6 I was fine with me, although it was only symbolic by then. If you don't think Trump incited the Capitol riot knuckleheads to act you are lying to yourself. To compare inciting your supporters to commit violent acts at the Capitol (no, they weren't just tourists) and disrupt the presidential electoral college vote count vs starting an impeachment investigation that is essentially looking to dig up dirt in the year before the election is clearly not equivalent. This is exactly what Newt and the boys did with Clinton in the 1990s, and his poll numbers went up because the public recognised it as a petty fishing expedition. Repubs would be better off just continuing to shit on Biden for his policies or the fact that he's 300 years old and can't remember where he is sometimes
Just as a correction, there was no impeachment over the Russia collusion situation, just a lengthy investigation.

The first impeachment had to do with the $400 million in military aid we were giving to the Ukraine. Trump was on tape trying to hold it back in exchange for dirt on Joe Biden. He wanted Zelenskyy to announce an investigation into Hunter Biden's various business dealings. He didn't get what he wanted and simultaneously had Giuliani go off to the Ukraine to dig for more rumors they could slather on Joe Biden to hurt him in the 2020 election. Which we're now seeing the result of anyway.
I had actually completely forgotten about that! There's been so many other accusations since, that it's almost an afterthought now.

i wasn't aware of any of this, but if only half of it is true, it's deeply worrying.

This week we heard from a Secret Service agent who says there was more than one shooter at Dealy Plaza in Dallas back in November, 1963. JFK’s top aide, Dave Powers — who was in the car just behind JFK at the time of the assassination — told me the same thing, as Lamar Waldron and I reported in our book Legacy of Secrecy: The Long Shadow of the JFK Assassination.

While people may disagree on their favorite theory of who was behind and who executed the killing, there’s broad agreement across America that we still don’t know the entire story (and the CIA and FBI continue to refuse to declassify thousands of pages of documents).

Will January 6th be like the Kennedy assassination? Will we never know the whole story?

Andrea Junker recently tweeted:

“Anybody else still curious who planted the pipe bombs, disabled Mike Pence’s key card, removed the panic button in Ayanna Presley’s office, and shared the locations of non-reinforced Capitol windows?”

Inquiring minds want to know.

In a troubling turn, a new biography of Mitt Romney by McKay Coppins dropped this week, with a fascinating excerpt published in The Atlantic. In it, Coppins tells the story of Romney hearing, on January 2nd, from Maine Senator Angus King that a high-ranking Pentagon official had just given him a mind-blowing warning:

“Law enforcement has been tracking online chatter among right-wing extremists who appear to be planning something bad on the day of Donald Trump’s upcoming rally in Washington, D.C. The president has been telling them the election was stolen; now they’re coming to steal it back.

“There’s talk of gun smuggling, of bombs and arson, of targeting the traitors in Congress who are responsible for this travesty. Romney’s name has been popping up in some frightening corners of the internet, which is why King needed to talk to him. He isn’t sure Romney will be safe.”

Alarmed, Romney reached out to Mitch McConnell with a text message:

“In case you have not heard this, I just got a call from Angus King, who said that he had spoken with a senior official at the Pentagon who reports that they are seeing very disturbing social media traffic regarding the protests planned on the 6th.

“There are calls to burn down your home, Mitch; to smuggle guns into DC, and to storm the Capitol. I hope that sufficient security plans are in place, but I am concerned that the instigator—the President—is the one who commands the reinforcements the DC and Capitol police might require.”

Romney’s concern was prescient. But the interaction (Mitch McConnell never replied to Romney) leaves us with more questions than answers.

For example, why did Trump’s Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller issue a memo on January 4th explicitly saying that the DC National Guard was:

— Not authorized to be issued weapons, ammunition, bayonets, batons, or ballistic protection equipment such as helmets and body armor.

— Not to interact physically with Trump’s protestors, except when necessary in self-defense or defense of others.

— Not to employ any riot control agents.

— Not to share equipment with law enforcement agencies.

— Not authorized to use Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) assets or to conduct ISR or Incident, Awareness, and Assessment activities in assistance to Capitol Police.

— Not allowed to employ helicopters or any other air assets.

— Not to conduct searches, seizures, arrests, or other similar direct law enforcement activity.

— Not authorized to seek support from any non-DC National Guard units.

Why didn’t our federal police, investigative, and military agencies do anything when they knew full well in advance that an armed mob was coming to the Capitol to try to overthrow our government, and that many within the mob were armed and willing to kill (and did) to try to accomplish their goal?

Why, afterward, did the Secret Service and the Department of Defense wipe their phones so the data could never be retrieved?

Why has there never been a public examination of most of this? What did then-and-now FBI Director Christopher Wray know, and when did he know it?

It’s as if a small-town police force was warned that a gang of bank robbers was on their way into town on the following Saturday, and that weekend the entire police force decided to leave their phones off the hook and go fishing. And after the bank was robbed, they all said they didn’t realize they’d really intended to rob the town’s bank. And then destroyed the note warning them the robbers were coming to town.

Why are so few people openly speculating that corrupt individuals — possibly only a handful — within the FBI, Secret Service, and Department of Defense may have participated in a plot led by Donald Trump to overthrow our government? And how many of Trump’s stooges are still in our government, perhaps waiting for his return?

Why isn’t our media pursuing these questions?

Is it simply because treason is such an unimaginably heinous act? Does journalistic integrity require them to await “smoking gun” evidence that, at the very least, some people within these organizations were knowing or unknowing participants in Trump’s plot to become America’s last president? Is it fear of losing sources in these agencies?

If this isn’t bad enough, on January 6th itself — as armed traitors were attacking police and searching to “hang Mike Pence” — Chris Miller oversaw a mid-afternoon, mid-riot conference call in which Army Secretary McCarthy was again begging for authority to immediately bring in the National Guard.

Then-Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations General Charles Flynn, the brother of convicted/pardoned foreign agent General Michael Flynn (who had been pushing Trump to declare martial law and have the military seize voting machines nationwide) was on the call; both the Pentagon and the Army, it has been reported, lied to the press, Congress, and, apparently, to the Biden administration about his presence on that call for almost a year.

It wasn’t until December, 2021 that it was widely reported that the National Security Council’s Colonel Earl Matthews (who was also on the call) wrote a memo calling both Charles Flynn and Lt. Gen Walter Piatt, the Director of Army Staff, “absolute and unmitigated liars” for their testimony to Congress in which they both denied they’d argued to withhold the National Guard on January 6th.

Then we discovered that the phones and text messages of most of the group, including Chris Miller, Walter Piatt, Kash Patel, and Ryan McCarthy were all wiped of all conversations and text messages they had on and in the lead-up to January 6th.

Most of the communication-based evidence was destroyed. Completely destroyed. By coincidence, they said. And the FBI, still run by Trump appointee Wray, seems to have never followed up on any of it.

Why was the riot gear for the Capitol Police stored — after they were warned a mob would be coming for them — in a locked bus? As The Washington Post reported:

“As a mob incited by President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol, officers scrambled to get the body armor. But the bus was locked, and no one could find the key. They were forced to defend the complex, and themselves, in their regular uniforms. All told, about 140 officers reported suffering injuries during the most significant breach of the Capitol since the War of 1812.”

Was it the same person or people who disabled Presley’s panic buttons?

How did the mob know the secret hideaway that Jim Clyburn used for most of his work when they came looking to possibly lynch him with the noose they had outside? He told CBS News:

“They knew where to go. … Yes, somebody on the inside of those buildings were complicit in this.” Adding, “The office with my name on the door was not touched. But the office where I do most of my work in, they were on that floor and outside that door.”

Why has there been no follow-up to Lauren Boebert live-tweeting the location of Nancy Pelosi as she was being hunted for assassination?

Why haven’t we heard any more about the members of Congress who were giving tours to insurrectionists? Why has there been no investigation whatsoever — at least that the public knows anything about — into complicity at the highest levels of our government?

I suspect that he actually does feel the kind of torture that you might hope. I bet his blood pressure has been and will be permanently fvcked from a decent way before the speakership, and for the rest of his time in politics. I imagine he even took the job knowing it would be torture but was too far along and somehow too committed already. And that whole thing will make it feel even worse for him, now, that he knew he was taking on a shit sandwich but couldn’t resist. Him and the likes of Cruz, just imagine the negative stuff they say about Trump behind his back but then say they have no choice but to X and Y in his defence.

I remember a reporter who had access to McCarthy over a long period saying that what he liked to do most is show you pictures of himself with other famous/rich people. That's who he is. He knows his caucus is full of irresponsible loons who wanna burn it all down, he knows Trump is an authoritarian nut who tried to end American democracy, but he will still do whatever it takes to maintain his status as Very Important Man.

News that Donald Trump used the back of documents with classified markings as “scrap paper” to make to-do lists for his executive assistant, and her remarks to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigators that Trump told her, “You don’t know anything about the boxes” of classified documents, is a “rock crusher” revelation and “yet another alleged instance of obstruction” against the ex-president, according to legal experts.

ABC News first reported the revelation that Trump had used the backs of documents with classified markings, that they wound up at Mar-a-Lago, and that an aide, Molly Michael, resigned after her concerns over his refusal to return the documents.

“We didn’t need this piece of proof, but this is an aide to Donald Trump that was saying that she knows firsthand that Donald Trump knew that he had classified information that he should not have had at Mar-a-Lago, that she told him that his claims to the government that you’ve returned, everything would be ‘easily disproved,'” said former top Dept. of Justice official Andrew Weissmann, on MSNBC late Monday afternoon.

“And when Donald Trump learned that she was going to be spoken with by the investigators, she said that Donald Trump told her, ‘you don’t know anything about the boxes.’ So you have not only a first hand witness to the illegal retention of the national defensive information, but you have yet another instance of alleged obstruction of justice, which is lying to investigators.”

Weisssmann adds, “this would make the third instance of obstruction because two are already charged in the indictment.”

“This is just too overwhelming a rock crusher of the case,” he concluded. “If this reporting is accurate, from Ms. Michael, who many people say is ’employee two’ in the Florida indictment, but if that is, it certainly has the ring of truth. Obviously, we will wait and see what she has to say at trial and she’ll be subject to cross examination like every witness in the case.”

kinda begs the question, what did he expect?

“It’s a good thing I love a challenge,” Speaker McCarthy told reporters Monday morning (video below) as he slammed extremist members of the House Republican Conference. “Because every day is gonna be a challenge.”

“We got a long week. We’re not going on September 30 yet,” he said, noting the end of the federal fiscal year when the government will run out of money unless the House and Senate appropriate more funds and President J0e Biden signs that legislation into law.

“But the one thing I will tell everybody, I’ve never seen anybody win a shutdown,” said McCarthy, knowing that Republicans will be blamed if there is one. “They only put the power in the hands of the administration.”

“If you want to secure the border then pass Homeland,” he said, the bill funding Homeland Security.

“You want to make America strong and secure, pass the DOD approps bill,” he continued, referring to legislation to fund the Dept. of Defense.

“If you’re not willing to pass appropriations bills, and you’re not willing to pass a continuing resolution to allow you to pass the rest of appropriation bills, and you don’t want an omnibus, I don’t quite know what you want,” McCarthy admitted to reporters about his House Republicans who appear prepared or pushing for a government shutdown.

Rudy Giuliani Sued by Former Lawyers for $1.4 Million in Unpaid Legal Fees After Georgia Indictment

The lawsuit, which was filed on Monday in Manhattan state court, claimed that Giuliani owes the law firm Davidoff Hutcher & Citron approximately $1.4 million under a retainer agreement.

Giuliani allegedly agreed to pay more than $1.5 million to the firm but has only paid $214,000 to date.

The complaint also stated that Giuliani made a token payment of $10,000 earlier this month, leaving a remaining balance of $1,360,196 still owed to the firm.

Robert Costello, a partner at the Davidoff firm and a longtime friend and lawyer to Giuliani, is also a plaintiff in the lawsuit, according to Business Insider.

Costello represented Giuliani from 2019 until this past summer and advised Giuliani on a range of legal matters – including federal investigations into the January 6 attack on the US Capitol, attempts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia, and numerous civil lawsuits.

Meanwhile, Giuliani's financial woes have reportedly mounted in recent months.

The former NYC mayor recently claimed in court that he is tight on cash, and former President Donald Trump allegedly agreed to help Giuliani fundraise money.

Fantastic isn’t it? All those people like Rudy who’ve ended up with the stump of Trump’s shaft broken off inside their ass. And he won’t even give them a reach-around.

I can’t help thinking some of them will turn by the time the Georgia and Jack Smith things get to trial- I should say many more of them, plenty have already when it’s their own ass on the line and according to the pundits I’ve been reading there are those who have cooperated that are as yet unknown. I mean Rudy is indefensible and I’m not sure turning would save him anyway but there will be those less culpable than him that can still stop short of the cliff top. Rudy is the original lemming he’s taking a header off the cliff like he’s diving to make home plate.

Re: More charges for Donny!!

The people who oughta sing are the rednecks from Coffee County who let the Trumpys into the election office to copy Dominion election system data. Happened as Trumpys were blubbering about Dominion machines being compromised. They were, by those idiots, and it's all on video (and a felony). In 'Murica, those are the kind of poor numbnuts who get convicted and sent to pound-me-in-the-azz prison, not the Trumps and Rudys of the world. Same goes for the dumbazzes who threatened the $30,000-a-year election workers because they didn't like that Trumpy lost.
