Lubbers would have his moments outboxing Ingo by jabbing and moving around the ring through the early rounds, but Johansson would paw Lubbers with his jabs and landed big right hands to dominate the midrounds, then he would Ingo Bingo to knock Lubbers out in 10 rounds. What do you guys think and who do you got?

Ingo wins. The only question is whether he takes a decision or late rounds stoppage.

If we're talking about the younger Lubbers, who lost decisions to Muhammad Ali and Joe Bugner in 1973, then he probably survives the full route against Ingo. This version of Rudy was fresher and stronger than the burned out journeyman he became in later years.

At his peak, Lubbers wasn't that bad. He held a top-20 or top-25 rating during the 1972-73 time frame.

One question is, how good was Johansson. In the late 1950s he was billed as a dangerous KO puncher. But I'm not sure Ingo's power would have troubled the 1970s heavyweights that Ludders faced.

If Rudy could go the distance against Ali and Bugner (who I consider better than Johansson), he'd probably do no worse against Ingo, although there's the possibility the Swede could stop him late.
