I think Hennessey beats him quite well. He had an ok amateur career in Northern Ireland didn't he?

Benn has come on lots since he turned over but he’s still not very good. Anyone half decent beats him quite comfortably

Me too. Got good amateur experience, not a big puncher but has good fundamentals and always respectful. I like his father so always likely to be a fan.

That was the point I was trying to make to leejonesjr’s facetious question.
Franklin Ignatius vs Hosea Stewart is a similar level fight that happened at heavyweight twice and neither time did it make it onto the tv despite being two novices putting it on the line very early in their career.
Now because these two have a promoter and ex boxer as their dad it’s being put on tv which is what I’m not big on despite it being (probably) evenly matched.

It was a perfectly clear and genuine question.
An undercard fight that’s evenly matched is more likely to be entertaining to watch than a rising star against a journeyman.
I think it’s fine.

I enjoy watching Michael Hennessy jnr box...that's the main thing. Having met him I can also say he's one of boxing's nice guys.
If he beats Benn a Southern Area title shot should follow soon after.

Sky don’t just televise Premiership football….
I do think when a novice 4 rounder is squeezed in before a main event it can look completely out of place and on a PPV card it would generate some criticism but I’d assume this one if televised, would be reasonable early on the card….?

his last fight was the first time he beat someone with a winning record, and that was a 58-56 vs a 3-2 (now 3-3) teenager from estonia not even in the top 500. if he really does have the reported 100 amateur fights, he looks very underdeveloped for being that experienced

Fair enough mate. I do hope he beats Harley, Harley has spent the run up to the fight showing off how expensive his clothes are on IG. I'd put Harley 10-8 down for ffrst round just for that. Did you see Hennesseys sister is turning over too, only 18 and lots of am experience.

interesting, beats sheeraz twice, then in the pros cant beat a seemingly non boxer afghan and loses to a white collar fighter .
beats sheeraz, yet only in his 13th fight finally beat a pro with a winning record, a teenager from estonia
maybe he was one of those hot shot kids who fizzle out in the pros, because his pro form isnt remotely as impressive.

Losing on points to gabrial dossen is huge as well Dossen is excellent and beating mark dickinson is also a huge win. Sometimes the am stuff doesnt translate straight away. Different games

i think Bradly skeete is starting to bring a really good form out of michael, The proof will be how he gets on with Benn I think heel do a job on him to be fair.
