Fighting on the Taylor v Cameron rematch card. Was meant to be out on a Dublin card a few weeks back but the card fell through.
Hearing it could be Jay McFarlane again which would be disappointing as the last fight was so conclusive. Also hearing could be Nick Campbell which would be better in my opinion despite more recent form.
How do people rate Carty in amongst our British prospects and any other Irish heavyweight prospects that there may be?

looks like an eddie hall strongman/roid head type, and if you just saw him you might expect a brawler, but boxes and moves fairly quick and sharp. boxes like someone who had lots of am fights. a lot of question marks though cuz hardly been tested or taken rounds
jay rematch would be a laughable waste of time. the fight was so one sided. keeping it in the uk, should fight someone like campbell, robinson, or ignatius instead of jay, then step up a bit more vs someone nate gorman. should do that within 10 fights.
unfortunately sean turner has blown up to nearly 300 pounds and was a punching bag his last fight, so dont think that would amount to much as far as all irish fights are concerned

The Brazilian who beat TKV tonight might be worth thinking about for Carty at some point. The Taylor Cameron card might be too quick a turnaround but maybe afterwards.

Brazilian came out aggressive throwing a lot and TKV couldn't time him and his workrate was low so he kept losing the rounds. I think he lost every round from memory and while he never stunned there was a few times he was creasing his face up like the shots hurt him a bit. Then in the last round he caught a 1-2 which cut him badly above the eye, it was pissing blood and the doc stopped it. Even had it gone to the cards it would have been an outrage if TKV won it, he lost every round by my eye and the sky viewers had it the same and the commenators weren't disagreeing either.

Good recap but I have to stress how disappointed I was with the fello. I usually like to watch a round of two of the chaps fighting before the fight to give myself a good feel for what could happen. I get it wrong as often as I get it right of course but I still like to know the fighters. In this case I didn't watch either fighter and I had heard some hype for TKV but as soon as the robe came off and I saw the mid section I had some reservations. The bell rang and it was clear that TKV was out of his depth. I didn't see any ability to handle the volume. The left hook was there all night and he was too poor to time it. I was actually thinking Tony Bellew could have caught this Brazilian with a beauty of a left hook despite the size difference. You have to just watch to see how open he was and could be baited into that shot. TKV didn't have the technique to pull it off but the IQ wasn't there also. I think Ben Shalom should be taken to task for the matchmaking. The Brazilian came out like a scalded cat and just produced more and more punches and TKV was like a fish out of water.

Yeah TKV or members of his team have given off sounds that TKV was I’ll either in the lead up or for the fight and I can’t argue he looked fatter than usual.
He’s staring down a barrel now tho as he’s got a h while out with that cut. I’d be surprised if he’s out before the next year.
Hopefully straight in with Nick Campbell or George Fox in a redemption fight.

never seen him fight, but looking at his record i'd think carty's last opponent, big jay, would beat him
no disrespect to the chap but it's certainly a stay busy fight at best

Garber was disqualified in a recent fight for holding on.
Is he related to former heavy Steve garber?

I did wonder as he’s from the same or nearby towns. Obviously Steve was (I think) mixed race but not unreasonable to think Dan might be from the white half of his family?
