BoxRec

I have a good idea... Why doesn't BoxRec.com flex their powers that be, and try to put together their own Pay Per View Event!? ESPN is getting into it.... So why not BoxRec also?? If they have good connections with certain promoters, managers and fighters, they could try and swing things to put on a hight quality fight card. I myself would hope it would be an all heavyweight card, but that's just me.

What do you guys think?

Have wondered about this in the past.

Whether it's boxrec or another internet site, I'm sure there is potential for some sort of official output of fights on the web, whether it's live video or even some sort of text commentary.

Don't know how much mulaa you fat-cats at boxrec have, if you manage to sell enough official boxrec T-shirts, I'm sure you'll have potential.

Heck, if they want to do it, without spending much money up front, they should go back to boxing's glory days... Find some midwest farm, and plan to have the fight out on some farm in the middle of a valley, out in some small pasture. Set up a boxing ring at its low point, and the fight fans could congregate sitting on the hill sides to watch the action.

If the proper site is located, who knows how many fans could attend. 20,000 maybe? It would be a novel event, that's for sure! It would feel like the old bare-knuckle bouts way back in the early 1900's! Can you imagine the "eye candy" this would give to the view television audience?! It would be sweet!!

A venue of this stature would have to have proper pugilists involved. Like for instance.... Can you imagine this set-up with "hard nosed" David Tua fighting a "stubborn" Oliver McCall!? Wow!!



PS - Dang!! I should be getting paid for these kind of ideas!!
