Question: How are the rankings affected after
Wallin's split decision win over
Gassiev and also

Sanchez - no change. He really needs to step up the level of competition.
Wallin - to #8. He made very easy work of Gassiev (which many saw as a great match-up before it happened). He also has a win over Breazeale and a decent showing against Fury. For me, that puts him above Bakole and the rest of the chasing pack of fringe contenders.

Leave Sanchez where he is
Wallin at 14
Edit: Ajagba vs. Goodall is missing in the list, and Bakole Takam

Is that even still on?
It's not mentioned as part of the undercard for Fury-Ngannou anymore..

There probably isn't much he can do about it. He signed with the PBC, and they haven't invested in him at all. Worse than that, when he should have been involved in the WBC elimination tournament. They stepped over him to go way down the rankings to match Helenius with Wilder.
Any of these heavyweights at PBC would have been a good match up and he hasn't been paired with any of them.
Wilder
Ruiz Jr
Ortiz
Martin
Helenius
Add to that the WBC allowing their champion to fight mismatches like Chisora and Ngannou, and Sanchez like many others just don't get a look in at actually establishing themselves.

I understand frank not being able to get big namesβ¦ but thereβs a lot of fighters between wilder and martzβ¦. Frank Sanchez matchmaking my is so bad it should not be sanctioned.

11. Chisora
12. Wallin
13. Bakole
14. Anderson
15. Huni
Using those rankings, Anderson ( #14 ) is the great American hope, and the only one from the USA in the top 15.
How did this happen? Any theories as to why this is so?

well it's good to see jalo step up his pro activity, but dude is so massively experienced in the ams and has been winning so easily (vs guys better than thompson) that these types of fights are disappointing.
get him in at minimum with a kuzmin or rice now. is that really too much to ask.

Wallin to 8. Certainly a better win than Yoka. Sanchez to 11 to accommodate Wallin moving in.

Wilder just reached 1 year without fighting. Time to drop him.
Are we voting on #15? Or leaving it vacant?

Picking 15 would be picking from a wild west of unworthy candidates.

Leave it vacant until some worthy fight takes place. Huni or jalolov maybe?

Yeh we donβt need to fill in vacant slots..
They can be filled when we have worthy fights.

So that's Wilder, Ortiz and Ruiz, all PBC boxers exited in the space of a month..
How shocking and a shame,
How they couldn't make Wilder-Ruiz..
