What do you think of him?

Do you like his work on TalkSport & the podcasts he does?

Will he make a successful boxing promoter?

Why does he have a voice in Boxing when he clearly does not know much about it and follows it casually? Remember when we used to laugh at casual boxing fans? I don't understand it.

Talks too much, why state your point in one sentence when you can blather on for 5 minutes with a load of word salad.

He's more aimed at the casuals.

He does a weekly podcast with Spencer Oliver and every week it's about Fury or AJ, I stopped watching, just rinse repeat

Contrarian fuckwit who thinks he knows sports because he once owned a football club.

I never did and hated boxing fans who belittle people who are "casuals". Its the weakest insult. I'm pretty sure not everyone who comments on football has played for the premiership.

regarding jordan, I dont mind him, at least he asks a few tricky questions and doesn't just rim promoters like IFL.

He does ask questions when he can get away with it. With Eddie it was scripted. When he can’t get the pre-ordained answers. He ain’t got a clue. Sorry. It’s good radio. He has as much clout as … as. …

casuals isnt always an insult, there's a difference between levels of fandom in the sport and that helps express it. boxing would work differently if no one made any distinction between varying levels of interest and knowledge in it. and in general, the hardcores can give more proper assessments of the sport because they have far bigger knowledge base to work with

though it's true there is sometimes too much snark. it's a bit like people who mock overweight people working out , it's like how do they get into the healthy lifestyle then? or do you want them to stay fat so you can mock them :maybe:

I don't mind him but I do wonder if he'd go on about Connor Benn so much if he was signed to FW as opposed to Hearn?

And badly at that. That pretty much summarises him.

He's a casual fan who thinks he knows it all and the casuals eat it up because he shares the same thesaurus as Boris Johnson and Russell Brand.

He has hinted on more than one occasion he wants an in on boxing.

In some ways he could be entertaining as he will rub up the wrong way other promoters.

But reality will kick in how hard the job is.

It's a ruthless game, I wouldn't want to get involved, I imagine he'd get his pants pulled down.

100% Agreed.

He will quickly learn he will need medical attention the amount of times he will get stabbed in the back.

I think he’d work well with Boxxer. Shalom isn’t particularly charismatic and, at times, has appeared out of his depth.

U.K. boxing doesn’t have the talent pool to work well with another top promoter so co-ownership of Boxxer would actually work well for all involved. Have TalkSPORT to constantly advertise them over the competition and Simon could be the gobby promoter that Boxxer could do with.

Jordan has no experience of boxing, sounds like the ideal candidate....

There is no way he would ever jointly do anything.

You may well be right.

In that case I can’t see him getting involved in boxing. I can’t see him doing small hall shows off tv and it would be extremely difficult for him to attract a good enough stable and get a solid TV deal to make it worthwhile.

i would imagine boxing involves a hell of a lot more bullsh/t and turning a blind eye to things than even football. maybe he could do the first bit, but i can't believe Jordan would be quiet enough about everything to thrive
