Hello Folks!!!
I read the record of this fine and phenomenal fighter from Panama, who became the first Latin fighter in history to win a world title. He was 5'11" and won the World Bantamweight Crown in 1929 making 11 title defenses. I do not know why Latin America does not speak much about this all-time great who globalized the sport and was a globetrotting champion that fought in Europe and America, specially in NYC.
I also see that this guya had an EXCELLENT record, winning 128 bouts and losing only 18, and was NEVER stopped in his career of over 160 fights, which is a world record.
In my all time list, he is in position #33 and in the all time greatest bantamweights, he's ranked in my opinion as #2, behind Eder Jofre. In my all-time greatest Hispanic fighters, he is ranked in my opinion at #6, behind Roberto Duran, Carlos Monzon, Julio Cesar Chavez, Alexis Arguello and Jofre.
What are your thoughts of this PHENOM???
